The space
Enjoy open plan living on the groundfloor with a fully equipped kitchen, dining space for 8 with sea views and open plan living area, TV and field views. To the rear of the ground floor is a separate utility area where you can wash your wetsuit, refresh your beach towels in the washing machine or take a refreshing shower in the downstairs shower room. The downstairs bedroom has a double sofa bed, single bed and TV. Upstairs you have two bedrooms, a king and double, together with a separate toilet and bathroom. The outside space is an extensive lawn with small patio area and patio table.
Fancy a walk?? Hop over the wall to join the Pembrokeshire coastal path or follow the instructions to get to the path in a less energetic way! You can walk to Dale along the path (East or West), with Mill Bay, Watwick Bay and Castle beach accessible from the East. Go West and you'll see dramatic cliffs and the islands of Skomer and Skokholm, reach West Dale beach and walk through the green valley passing Dale Castle into the village. Many other beaches are easily accessible a short drive from the cottage, along with other local attractions, nature reserves, islands, sailing, watersports and walking. If you haven't heard of the beaches have a search or take a look at the photos - Marloes, Musselwick, Watwick Bay, West Dale and Newgale are some of the best.
Dale village is a small village with a shop, cafe restaurant - The Boat House, award winning pub - The Griffin Inn, and Tan a Mor. Seasonal openings can apply so please check with them but if you want to go you need to book, they have excellent reputations for a reason! Marloes village is a short drive (10 minutes) from Dale and also includes a shop, cafe and pubs. For a bigger shop Haverfordwest is the local town a 30 minute drive away.
A stair gate is available for use at the property but is the responsibility of guests to assemble and disassemble on leaving - if there are little legs around it is your responsibility to keep them safe. 1 or 2 dogs are allowed downstairs only, there is a small additional fee for cleaning. Other things to note
Part of the beauty of the cottage is it's exposed, rural, headland location, but because of this the weather takes it's toll - you may find some areas of damp/flaky paint on some of the interior lime plaster walls.
