Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the pond, take time to meander to the dock to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

The space
The Cabin is a cozy 900 square feet. The bathroom is small and the second bedroom has a low ceiling as it was added to the attic space of the addition. It makes a great space for the occasional snorer! The bedrooms are located up a steep flight of stairs. The bathroom is on the main level. True to form for a country setting, the Cabin is located down a gravel road (but worth the car wash).

Guest access
Registered guests are welcome to enjoy fishing in either of our two ponds during their stay. For safety reasons, swimming is not permitted, as both ponds have soft clay bottoms that can make footing unstable.

A modified outhouse with electricity is available for guest use.

For hunters, a game hanging station and walk-in cooler are available for an additional fee. Please inquire if you would like to use these amenities.

For your safety and privacy, please do not enter any machine sheds or farm buildings on the property.
