Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
If you love something a little different and are partial to some fishy kitsch, Nobby's Rest is dead set going to tickle your fancy. Lovingly curated over two decades this is a fun, cosy and chilled beachy escape. And the best bit? The endless sands of the 90 Mile Beach are just out the gate and an easy amble over the dune.
This is the perfect escape, far from the madding crowds. Take a digital detox, take time out to paint, read, write, contemplate, or just reconnect with friends and family

The space
This is a perfect house for families or up to three couples or friends wanting to completely chill out. This is NOT a party house and we honestly ask you to respect this special house and all that is in it. Maximum 6 adults (plus 2 children on sofa bed).

NOTE: There is no WIFI and patchy mobile reception. That's part of the attraction! Enjoy the digital detox. Families especially love this aspect.

There's plenty of space to chill out at Nobby's. The open plan kitchen/dining and main living area open out to a large deck via an entire wall of glass and sliding doors.

The light-filled lounge and deck are perfect for a spot of painting, listening to music or just sitting with a cup of tea ... or something a wee bit stronger.

Each spacious bedroom has its distinct vibe, and with the sound of the crashing waves, as you lie in bed, you'll find it easy to drift to sleep at night. All beds are comfy and have electric blankets.

The loft is the perfect nook for a quiet reading retreat when you're seeking a separate space. Please note that access is via a secured ladder and is very steep. Be super careful, and don't let kids up there unsupervised. Please also don't throw anything down from there. Things get broken!

Bring some freshly ground coffee beans (home espresso fine grind) so you can make a morning brew to take to the dunes with your breakky. The coffee machine does a damn fine job. Excellent Allpress coffee is available to buy at the General Store if you forget to bring your own though.

The wood fire heater creates a cosy inside, but you can also enjoy a fire by starlight outside next to the deck. If the weather is with you, that deck is also the perfect possie for meals and a BBQ (Webber). In the summer the air conditioner works a treat, plus there are fans in each bedroom.

We do ask you to be mindful of neighbours. It may seem like there is no one around, but sound travels in a quiet location.

Neighborhood highlights

The Honeysuckles is a very quiet hamlet 3 km along the 90 Mile Beach from the slightly larger township of Seaspray. You're heading here for some quiet, relaxation, and to quite literally get away from it all. You will be disappointed if you’re after ‘action’ . There is no WIFI and reception is patchy. Please note this! The beach is wild and beautiful. There's no light pollution, so the night sky gives up its treasures readily. There's plenty of wildlife and plenty of beachcombing. The beach is directly over the sand dune from Nobby's Rest. You can hear the sound of the crashing waves in your bed.

Very basic supplies are available in Seaspray most of the year, but you need to do your shopping before you come. Check whether the Surf Club is open - a great spot for a bev and a pub meal.

Be aware that the last chance for petrol is Longford or Golden Beach. Don't get caught short!

Seaspray is a 5-minute drive away. There is a Surf Club with a bar, Caravan park with a shop selling some basic supplies, and a General Store. Golden Beach has petrol and more supplies. The closest supermarket or restaurant is in Sale, 30-minutes drive. There are plenty of places to explore in the region, so stay a few days and have a good look around.
