Nine Sides Lodge

A-frames are perfectly designed to re-kindle relationships and build a sense of togetherness! In other words, if you don't like being around your friends and family, stick to hotels. But stay here, and give your friends FOMO
The space
This newly renovated A-Frame has two standard bedrooms plus one open loft. There is one full bathroom, with an open kitchen+dining+living space. The main living area has enough seating for 4-6, with an additional downstairs living room/hang out room for kids, games, and more! There is 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 full/double bed.
We think the wood paneling and open design of the A-Frame transports you to a blissful escape, but keep in mind that sound may travel between the rooms, and you may hear the creak of the knotty pine beneath your feet.
**Accessibility notice: the main living area is up one flight of stairs from the front door. Guests should be prepared for/able to manage stairs regularly when staying at the lodge.
**Guest Count: It's cozy, people! The lodge sleeps 4-5 adults comfortably, depending on your group dynamics. We can really only accommodate groups of 6 if a) all guests share beds or b) one guest is willing to sleep on futon in basement. If you have concerns about the size of your group and the lodge, shoot us a message. If you want to bring 10 dudes up for a ski weekend, you will wish you rented a bigger place. Trust me, we tried it.
**Air Conditioning: We now have air conditioning, but unfortunately only a mini-split system in the main room. It carries well through the kitchen, living room, and loft.
Guest access
While the cabin is cozy, your group will have a relaxing time in nature with the full house to yourself! The AuSable Acres community boasts private hiking/snowshoeing trails that you can explore, as well as a tennis/pickle ball court. Details for court access will be discussed upon booking if desired.
*Winter weather note: driving in the Adirondacks can be tricky! To safely navigate the area, it is necessary to have a vehicle that can safely manage snow & ice - all wheel drive is strongly recommended. Our property will automatically be plowed/shoveled for any snow accumulation over 4 inches. Watch your step - even with quality snow removal, significant snow and ice accumulation on the property is a common hazard this time of year!*
Other things to note
Most of the properties in the acres are +/- one acre, private, and wooded. Some are fenced, while a large majority are not. Our property is not fenced, and any pets must be on a leash at all times. Keep an eye out for our beautiful wildlife! In addition to birds, you may hear or see other critters like deer, raccoon and fox.
The main road into the acres is paved, while the neighborhood roads are well maintained dirt roads.
There are two external security cameras that record video and sound 24/7. One camera overlooks the front door, and the other camera overlooks the driveway.
