A lovingly restored 1919 farmhouse on 5 private acres fronting Wollombi Brook - walk to the historic Wollombi village, wake up to mountain views, and unwind by the wood fire. The perfect getaway for couples and small groups seeking a slow, country escape.

Attending a wedding at Redleaf, The Woodhouse, or Mystwood? We’re 4–7 minutes away and a favourite for wedding guests.

The space
The charming 100 year old cottage fronts the Wollombi Brook and overlooks undulating grassed paddocks with a beautiful mountain backdrop. Follow our journey on socials (IG @nerremancottage).

The cottage has been lovingly restored while retaining its original character and old-world charm. We hope it feels like a home away from home, with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The 3 bedrooms comfortably sleep 6. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have queen beds; bedroom 3 has two singles. All bedrooms have quality linen, ducted heating and cooling, and ceiling fans.

The bathroom has a deep claw footed bath with an overhead shower. There is also a second toilet in the laundry. Bath towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all provided.

There is a washing machine in the laundry for longer stays.

The eat-in country kitchen is well equipped and the dining table comfortably seats 6. The pantry is stocked with salt, pepper, oils, coffee, selection of teas, hot chocolate and marshmallows! There is reverse cycle heating and cooling in the kitchen and a ceiling fan.

The living room features a comfy modular lounge and a slow combustion wood fire (firewood supplied in cooler months), plus ducted heating/cooling and a ceiling fan. Curl up by the fire with a book or watch your favourite show on the smart TV.

The large back deck has beautiful property views and is the perfect spot for a summer BBQ or a lazy afternoon reading on the daybed. Cane chairs on both verandahs mean there’s always a shady or sunny spot to enjoy the garden and country air.

Guest access
You'll have the entire place to yourselves, with bedroom access determined by guest numbers. This allows smaller groups to enjoy our home without paying for unused bedrooms. Bedrooms that aren't needed are closed off.

Please Note: If there are more than 4 guests staying at the property the rate will increase. 1-4 guests offers 2 bedrooms and 5-6 guests offers 3 bedrooms.

Other things to note
The property has Telstra and Optus mobile phone reception. Unfortunately there is no Vodafone coverage anywhere in the Wollombi Valley.

The bathroom has a step in bath with an over-head shower so this listing may not suit guests with mobility issues.

Nerreman Cottage has a strict no-party policy - sound carries in the valley, especially at night, so we ask guests to be mindful of our neighbours.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY : For the safety of our guests and property we have exterior security cameras monitoring the entrance to the property located on the outside of the house pointing towards the white picket gate and one on the little shed in front of the cottage pointing towards the driveway. The cameras do not record inside the house or any private areas.
