5 meters to the national park (the Airbnb information is incorrect).

A whole "forest spa" just for you! Enjoy secluded terraces in the forest, distant views from all rooms and exclusive access to nature.

Valuable location: in nature, outside of villages. Access only by forest path, parking is in front of the cabin. Enjoy nature & solitude!

Behind the cabin is "your private park." When you wander through nature, you rarely meet other people.

The space
One of the most beautiful national parks in Germany starts right behind the cabin - and the park's most famous hiking trail is only 400 meters away, the "wilderness trail".

Always included: 1000 m² hillside property, exclusive access to nature and the "Gemachtes Nest" service: Before your arrival, the following will be done: oven cleaning, house cleaning, garbage disposal, path and terrace maintenance, drinks in the refrigerator, bed linen, bed making, fresh towels, oil lamp filling, etc. The supply of oven pellets, gas (for stove, grill and radiant heater), lamp oil and candles is replenished.

Installation of a heated, inflatable outdoor bathtub on request and 100 EUR surcharge per week. Bathing with a view!

20 percent discount from one month. Higher discounts for longer rentals on request. How about a whole season in the forest house?

Please note: not accessible! You descend via a romantic but unrenovated staircase from the courtyard gate to the cabin. Real natural location with insects and sometimes mice.

Secluded location? Almost! Especially in winter, when the trees do not bear leaves, you will see a few houses in the valley far away. In addition, there are 4 mostly uninhabited cabins in the area. A terrace is close to a cabin, but you won't see it. The main and other terraces have only one neighbor: nature.

The river in the valley is close to the steep slope. You always hear it. In the summer, the view on it is mostly covered by leaves, in the winter you will see it better.

Discover the peculiarities of unspoiled nature - that's what national parks offer. Look forward to forests, mountains, lonely trails, streams, rivers, lakes, spectacular sandstone cliffs, and beaver dams everywhere. There is no mass tourism. You often don't see anyone walking for hours. Also within hiking distance: Nideggen and Heimbach - Romantic little places with half-timbered, cozy gastronomy, castles, monasteries, etc.

History: The hut is attached to a mountain that was used as a vineyard in Roman times. The journey is via a forest path - a 2000 year old Roman road. You look out on a valley where there was a Roman camp and a significant battle.

An hour away by car: Cologne, Aachen, Holland, Belgium.

Here's a little cabin poetry about your special vacation spot :)

Welcome to "WaldPhantasia" / "ForestFantasia"!

"Forest submarine": The small muggy bedroom is in the middle of the forest, the trees grow against the window. Dive into this "forest submarine" and look out of the portholes! Squirrels run on branches that knock directly on the window. Fireflies deliver a show in the evening. And when you open the window, you immediately have coolness and sounds of the forest in bed - and can watch a tree crown lying on your back from below.

But there are more. With a little imagination, the living room and terrace transform into a "forest yacht" with which you can sail over treetops.

Terraces in the wooded parts of the property invite you to "swim forest". Not to be confused with the "forest bath" - the cabin's bathroom with beautiful forest and distant views.

Romantic, imperfect, dreamy - a lover's property with forest, water, far view!

The cabin is spectacularly built on a steep slope. The slope is characterized by gnarled old oaks. You live in and over treetops, with squirrels, at bird's level. The cabin and property always open up new views. In the distance - but also in the forest next to, below and above the cabin. The views let you experience day and seasons intensively. In severe weather, take popcorn and enjoy the "valley stage"!

Look forward to watching a lot of animals. The cabin is at the altitude of birds of prey. And the property offers a set table: squirrels feed on walnut trees, birds pick pine cones and grapes.

The "forest windings" are in progress: An enchanted path system, which offers access to the lower part of the steep slope in serpentines. Let yourself be surprised by ... labyrinthine branches, views, tree-covered paths, surprises, seating, forest, an outdoor sleeping place, an open-air counter, sports equipment, and a lonely sweat hut in the woods.

Guest access
You rent the entire place including 1000 m² hillside property.

For example, if you have short-term guests and are staying with more than 2 people: The living room offers a sofa bed that is suitable for one person or a very much in love couple as a sleeping place. Both the living room and bedroom have access to the bathroom.

Children are of course welcome, but the entrance stairs and some terraces do not have railings yet - therefore the minimum age is 10 years.

Pets allowed: small animals and cats. Unfortunately, dog claws and the wooden floor do not go together.

Other things to note
Audible next to natural sounds: the small valley train and sometimes motorcycles from afar on weekends.

Tourism takes place at the cabin and in the national park, please be as quiet and nature-friendly as possible.

Partly unrestored and without railings: entrance stairs, some terraces, trail system.

Neighborhood highlights

The national park starts directly behind the cottage. The "Wilderness Trail" leads through the most beautiful areas of the national park. The cottage is only a few hundred meters away from it, located in the woods.

The national park was voted one of the top 100 most beautiful travel destinations in Germany (source: Germany Travel, 32,000 voters, 31st place). The national park is still an insider tip without mass tourism - otherwise the ranking would certainly have been higher :)

Look, listen, smell and enter from the property directly into the wild forest!

In the national park, nature is the builder and creates a real jungle. The stars are also protected and complete the wilderness feeling.

The Eifel Nature Park and Hürtgen Forest are also on the doorstep. Enjoy rivers, lakes, mountains, valleys and unique red sandstone cliffs. Dreamy half-timbered villages and castles round off the holiday.

Beam yourself away from everyday life! Woods, water, wilderness, wild animals, beaver dams, castles, half-timbered villages, red sandstone cliffs, mountains, stars.

The "Jungle-Gym" is always open and encourages hiking, running, kayaking, sailing, swimming, climbing, trail running and mountain biking. Always there: peace, loneliness and “forest bathing”.

Tip - "Birds view hike": Look out of the house and choose a destination in the valley or on a mountaintop. Then hike there without a map - a challenge for your sense of direction.

A station of the small valley train can be reached in just over 10 minutes on foot. By the way, the train will bring you back comfortably from your adventures if your feet are sore :)

The cottage is located near the beautiful half-timbered village Abenden. This is located between the small and cosy towns Nideggen and Heimbach, which offer gastronomy and castles.

You will find further information about the Eifel National Park and its Forest-Fantasia in the web.
