This traditional log cabin offers a peaceful hideaway right on the shore of the lake. Carved from thick logs, the cabin exudes peace.

The cottage has a high living room, a reserved fireplace, a kitchen, a spacious wood-burning sauna with benches and a shower, a dressing room, a toilet, a sleeping loft and a bedroom, a covered porch and a separate sauna for post-sauna cooling.

In summer, the place has the special feature of the cowbell ringing in the adjacent, fenced forest pasture when a small herd arrives at the beach to drink.

The space
The cottage's yard is a natural forest floor with moss, blueberry sparrows, and natural rocks. Near the beach there is a log, traditional smoke sauna, which can be heated by the host. Between the smoke sauna and the beach there is a campfire and barbecue area, the base of which is laid out with large natural stones.

The beach is sandy and slowly deepens over the first 5 meters to about knee height, after which the water begins to deepen more steeply. You can swim by walking along the sandy bottom next to the jetty, and you can sunbathe or fish with a worm hook on the jetty. A rowboat and life jackets are available for guests.

Guest access
The cottage is fully available to the tenant. The traditional smoke sauna in the yard is available for a separate rental fee (the wood sauna inside the cottage is included in the rental of the cottage).

The cottage is located along a quiet sandy road, which you can reach by car. Along the sandy road you can comfortably walk and enjoy the nearby nature, rural landscapes and the atmosphere of the forest pastures.

Along the sandy road, you can also walk to the nearby Lylymäki (2.3 km away), which offers magnificent views of the horizon for tens of kilometers. During the snowy season, you can get there by car.

Other things to note
You can rent 2 single kayaks for the property. In addition to Lake Lylyjärvi, kayaks can be used to access the neighboring lake along a narrow river.

The cottage plot is fenced off from the cattle because it sits in the middle of a traditional forest grazing in a wide area with heifers (young cattle) grazing in the summer and occasionally popping up next to the cottage while drinking. A dirt road (1.3 km) is reached at the cottage, which runs through the varying and atmospheric landscapes of forest pasture.

The lake is peaceful. There are other cottages on its beaches, but no neighbors in sight. On the opposite side of the lake is a farm with terrain views. From there, you can sometimes hear the sounds of a farm, like shooting cows.
