Welcome to Muskoka A-frame, for a couple’s getaway or solo vacation. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub, roast marshmallows over the bonfire, wake up to swaying treetops, play boardgames and albums by the fire.

This classic 70’s A-frame cabin has been re-imagined for the modern world. Nest away or make it your base for 4-seasons of adventure. Explore Arrowhead and Limberlost for forests, trails and beaches, or visit charming Huntsville for restaurants, breweries and local amenities.

The space
Experience this unique chalet and our other boutique cottages: Muskoka Lake Hideaway (just 7 min away) & Saltbox by the Bay.

Muskoka A-frame is located in Hidden Valley, a forested neighbourhood of residents & cottagers. Enjoy nearby amenities plus all that Muskoka has to offer, including the private-access, community beach on Peninsula Lake, Ski Hidden Valley, golf courses and the charming, lakeside town of Huntsville. Explore Arrowhead or Algonquin Provincial Parks and free entry to Limberlost, for stunning views and endless activities, all year round.

Indoors:
• The great room is an open-concept living and dining room, with gas fireplace
• Cook's kitchen incl. toaster, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine & drip coffee machine
• Bedroom has double height ceilings and treetop views, overlooking the neighbourhood
• Updated bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower combo
• Fresh linens & towels
• Wifi is strong and as fast as Toronto speeds
• Widescreen TV with youtube & limited channels. Or Chromecast from your personal accounts.
• Atari Flashback X for old school gaming fun.
• An Amazon Echo (Alexa) can operate many of the switches, if you want to remain hands-free or not get up off the comfy couch.

• Backyard with firepit. Firewood available.
• Access to the private neighbourhood beach with guest pass
• NEW for summer 2026: a double kayak, parked by the beach
• In the winter, snowshoes are available for guests to enjoy.
• The wooded forest in the backyard is great for a little exploring but not kept up. Property boundaries are marked with safety poles.
• We're happy to share some special amenities for your enjoyment and convenience but please note that the use is at your own risk.

NOTES:
• There is a maximum, 2 person occupancy. Guests must be registered on the Airbnb app.
• No unauthorized guests, weddings, events, photo sessions or shoots permitted without prior consent. We are open to various possibilities but they need to be discussed in advance. Surcharges may be applied for non-compliance.
• We have a no pet policy. Please, you do not need to ask. We appreciate that there are many great pets but we don't make exceptions. Thank you for understanding.

Getting Around:
• Approx. 2 to 2.5 hours from GTA. Easy access from 400 N to Hwy 11 to Hwy 60 E.

Within 5 minute drive:
• Community, private-access beach with guest pass (3 min or 15 min walk). Beach has a sand volleyball court and grass field for lawn games.
• From May to October, Ski Hidden Valley is converted to mountain biking trails (check website for details).
• Hidden Valley Resort (also, within walking distance) and Birches Restaurant.
• Deerhurst Resort for spa services and restaurants
• Deerhurst Highlands Golf Course
• Grandview Golf Club, a ClubLink course
• Treetop Trekking
• WINTER: Ski Hidden Valley (2 min or 10 min walk) for skiing, snowboarding and terrain park. NOTE: There's an unofficial ski-in/out access point at the end or our street, when the Lazy Lady run is open. Check website daily for updates, as this can change due to weather conditions or races on the hill.
• WINTER: Bring your skates for winter skating on the lake in January & February (weather permitting) at our private, neighbourhood beach with our beach pass. Or, skate through the magical forest at Arrowhead (rentals also available).

Within 10 min drive :
• Town of Huntsville for everything you could need, from supplies to waterfront patios, restaurants, touring, Kwartha Dairy ice cream and local shops.
• Algonquin Outfitters for 4-season, outdoor supplies or rentals. In the summer, rent watercrafts for a paddle through Huntsville!
• Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve, has free access, all year round. Swimming, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails.

15 min drive
• Arrowhead Provincial Park, with year-round access to forests & lakes. Hiking, swimming, canoeing, fishing and mountain biking. In the winter, try snowshoeing, tubing, 33 km of trails for cross country skiing or the 1.3 km ice skating path, through the forest.
• Limberlost Forest: Free hiking through lake & forest trails, year round. Access to beaches & canoe/kayak rentals (seasonal).
• North Ridge Ranch, if you ever wanted to try dog sledding!

25 min drive
• Algonquin Provincial Park
• Beyond Equine Centre for wagon or sleigh rides!

Guest access
• The A-frame is available for a maximum of 2 guests, based on short-term licensing regulations for the Town of Huntsville. Guests have access to the 2nd floor bedroom & the entire chalet. All areas, except the 2 1/2 floor loft (up the ladder), due to Huntsville's rental restrictions.
• With our beach pass, guests have access to the neighbourhood beach on Peninsula Lake. A great way to spend a summer day.

Other things to note
Muskoka A-Frame was originally built in the 1970's. We've made many updates and upgrades but also worked with the original quirks and imperfections to maintain some of the original, retro charm. We hope you enjoy this modern version of a classic A-frame chalet.
