The space
Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean... -John Muir

For the weekend starting Dec 12th, the overnight temps will be in the mid 30s with propane heaters to warm the tents. This listing is rated a guest favorite for AirBNB. The reason is because all guests rated categories are 5 star, to include value. There are no extra charges for propane (used for deck fire pit and heat) and firewood.

The Tent: Enjoy a 16-foot canvas bell tent nestled among the trees of Cherokee National Forest that comfortable sleeps three. Inside, you'll find everything you need for your stay — including a queen-sized bed and twin bed, both with comfortable memory foam mattresses, a small table for playing games and drinking coffee inside the tent . Linens and bedding are not provided. Guests need to bring their own bedding or sleeping bags to put on top of the bed.

Outdoor Fun: Step outside to a picturesque landscape that beckons you to explore. Take leisurely strolls along scenic trails, have a picnic by the spring-fed creek, or unwind with a book or board games on the porch as you listen to the soothing sounds of nature.

Thoughtful Kitchen Touches: Enjoy a kitchen area with all the essentials and a Coleman coffee maker--because we know how important a hot cup of java is on those chilly forest mornings!

There’s an outhouse tent with a bucket toilet, because what’s better than a forest view while takin’ care of business?

Stay Connected (If You Want To): There’s optional free Wi-Fi that you can turn on or off at any time if you feel like sharing the beauty or checking in with the world.

Fire Pit Tales: There's a fire pit here that's seen more laughter, s’mores, and heart-to-hearts than I can count. It's the perfect spot to share a romantic night or connect with friends.

However, trash just needs to be taken to the bottom of the hill and placed in one of the trucks we use to take trash to the landfill.

Guest access
When arriving, you will park at the base of the mountain and call me. I will drive you and your gear to the top of the mountain. You can hike down at any time to return to your car to visit any of the tourist sites, hiking trails, or fun water activities in the area.

Other things to note
This site is meant to be intentionally rustic and still feel like camping. It’s not true luxury glamping. We understand that these off-grid, self-service sites aren’t for everyone but we do our absolute best to set expectations for these sites before you arrive. If you’re expecting a luxury glamping experience, this site is not for you. If you want to stay on a unique private property, still feel like you’re camping and have no problem bringing your own gear, this is for you!

This site is off the grid, without water or electricity. Because of the remote location, we operate this as “self service”. This means no cleaning fees, however, guests are responsible for bringing their own bedding, drinking water and other camping supplies. Additionally, guests will need to clean the rental and remove their trash before checking out.

The tent sleeps 2 people in a queen size bed. Additional guests will either need to sleep on the floor or bring their own tents to sleep outside near the tent.

BUGS, CRITTERS & DUST:
Please also note that these style of platform tents are not completely sealed and cannot prevent critters or some dust from getting in. Please understand that this is still camping in the middle of the woods. You might have some bugs or dust in your tent, there is just no way to avoid this. The good news is the critters can get out as easily as they get in. When you arrive, if there are some bugs in there, please open up the doors and allow the breeze to carry them out.
