Experience the charm and hospitality of country living at Murringo Barracks. Nestled amongst the bluestone buildings of the original 1880’s Police Barracks, the guest house has been recently renovated to a country-style getaway with modern amenities. It is fully self-contained and air-conditioned for your year-round comfort. Murringo Barracks is situated on 20 acres at the edge of Murringo Village. It is part of our 300 acre working farm where we raise fat lambs and merino sheep for fine wool.

Neighborhood highlights
Murringo, New South Wales, Australia
The historic village of Murringo (pop. 390) is situated halfway between Boorowa and Young in the South West Slopes.
First settled in 1827 this quaint village is virtually untouched by tourism. There are some fine historic buildings to see as you wander around. The village and surrounding countryside are very picturesque, a perfect location for the plein-air artist. Murringo is a sleepy village with no everyday shops or cafes. Young and Boorowa are both 23km away, an easy 20 minute drive. Both towns have great cafes, restaurants and supermarkets.
