If you are looking for a clean, cozy, well-appointed roomy space that fits nicely into the budget, you have found it! To top it off, there is a third bonus room that we have set up as a yoga room with mats and blocks along with a small play room with toys and books. A perfect spot for exploring Mt. Shasta.

FYI, this is a walk-out basement unit with low ceilings and no kitchen. If there are guests upstairs, you will hear noise from above. It’s like a 2 bedroom hotel room with a bonus room.

This is a budget place because of the possibility of noise from above- footsteps and voices!

Please respect that we have family members with extreme animal allergies that stay often so please consider booking one of the many animal friendly places if you are bringing an animal.

*Kitchenette with microwave, Keureg coffee machine, mini fridge with small freezer, and hot water kettle. Sink in bathroom. No hot plate.

*Bathroom with a shower with great water pressure. Towels, soaps, lotion, shampoo and conditioner provided.

*The unit is the downstairs half of a two-story Bungalow.

*Fast reliable WIFI and Smart flat screen TV in living room

PLEASE NOTE: There may be guests upstairs while you are visiting. If so, you WILL hear footsteps and noise from above. We also offer the top floor as a separate unit or both floors as a whole house rental.

*Portable air conditioner unit in the living room and extra fans in the closet.

* Heat kept at 70 and controlled remotely when it's cold. 2 space heaters provided for extra warmth.

*Walk to multiple restaurants within 5 minutes

*Gas BBQ outside in the back yard

*You will have access to the downstairs half of the house. The entrance is at the back of the house. Enter down the driveway and park up against the north fence line so 2 cars fit down there.

*Door code will be provided before check-in.

*There is off-street parking for one car. If you have more that one, please park one on the street (but not when snow removal conditions are present).

*The BBQ is shared with the upstairs guests. Please wash the BBQ tools and put them back when finished. Also return the cover and turn off the gas at the tank.

Other things to note
We pride ourselves on being a pet allergy-free home! Please do not ask us if we can make exceptions. There are a ton of great alternative options that do accept pets. I have another house that does accept dogs so ask me for availability.

The house is split into 2 units, upstairs and downstairs. Please be considerate of others if there are guests upstairs.

-This space is equal to a two bedroom hotel room. There is no kitchen, only a microwave and coffee maker.

Mailing left items: $10 + cost of shipping

Extra cleaning fees will apply if the property is left in poor condition. The house should be left the way it was found (dishes cleaned, tidied up, furniture where it belongs).

FYI, the day of check in, I will send a welcome message with the house rules and some things to note.

Neighborhood highlights

Take a 3 minute walk to the most happening coffee shop in town, Seven Suns, or walk 5 minutes the other way to your morning yoga class. Just across the street is the Mount Shasta Pastry shop and a few doors down is the bustling health food store, Berryvale. At the Alpenglow Bungalow, you are in the center of it all.

After you finish exploring the town on foot, you can continue the adventure by bike or car. Lake Siskiyou, Castle Lake, The Old Ski Bowl (7800'), and plenty of hiking, biking, paddling, golfing, swimming, climbing, fishing, and skiing options are all minutes away.

There is something here for everyone, whether it's a multi-day mountaineering expedition to the summit of 14,179' Mt. Shasta or a leisurely stroll to feed the rainbow trout in the Mt Shasta Fish Hatchery or something in between! I'm a city girl who gave up the frazzled, stressful grind for the tranquility of mountain life. I love to travel (and even did it for a living as a flight attendant on a private jet for 10 years) and am always up for the next adventure. Mount Shasta is home, though, and I love it here the most! I am an outdoor enthusiast and knowledgeable about everything Siskiyou County has to offer. Road biking, Mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, etc. etc...ask me for info and you shall receive! As a mother of a youngster, I can also share all the hot child-friendly spots with you. And let's not forget about my number one passion: food! Mt. Shasta has its share of gems and obscure dining specials that only the locals know about, and I will let you in on the secrets.
