This spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath mountain chalet is walking distance from Village/Gondola is located in a peaceful & quiet area with great views to the mountains. Kitchen/dining/bathrooms area newly remodeled floor to ceiling. The property is equipped w/ everything needed for a great winter/summer stay & has washer/dryer. Great spot for groups! Enjoy convenient parking just outside the front door, private deck w/ great view, & on-site hot tub/BBQ open year round. Walk to the village in 10 min.

About the Space:

Chateau d'Oex is a small, quiet, well-managed complex located off of Lake Mary Rd and just .5 miles away from the Village at Mammoth. The spacious layout provides a great space for a group of friends or families. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your needs to cook and feel at home. Movie nights are a plus with ample seating room, a wood burning fire place and big screen TV.

The property is a split-level floor plan with the master bedroom/bathroom and second bedroom at the entry-level. The large entry provides enough space to store skis, boards, boots, etc, and also houses the washer/dryer. A full bathroom is available on the first floor as well. The second level, upstairs, opens up to the living room, kitchen, and dining room, with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is newly remodeled with stainless steel appliances. The living room features a 75" smart tv, queen-sized pullout couch and high speed internet (100MBPS). This space is cozy, inviting and drenched in all-day sun.

A spacious and sunny deck is located off of the living-room. The queen-sized bunk room is just off of the dining area and also has its own ensuite bathroom. All bathrooms were recently remodeled and the property has had numerous upgrades.


The Area:

The location (as mentioned above) is prime!!! Being located within walking distance to the Village means that you're close to the gondola/shuttle access and all the bars, restaurants, shops, and events the Village has to offer. During the summer, the property is located just off the 5th hole of the Sierra Star golf course and Lakes Basin bike path trail.

Heating/Cooling:

The property has a wood-burning fireplace with a couple started logs provided for convenience. Wood is located on the deck. The property is equipped with electric wall-heaters with NEST and MYSA thermostats. There are a couple of space heaters in the unit as well. In summer, the breeze, ceiling fans and a few fans should be sufficient. There is no central AC.


Blankets/Towels/Pillows:

There are extra bankets and pillows within the unit. There are enough towels for 8 guests with a few extra. It is a good idea to bring beach towels if you're planning much spa and lake use.

Kitchen:

Newly remodeled with new custom cabinets, quartz counter top and brand new microwave/stove. All the essentials you should need for family-style cooking/baking. Some basic pantry items are provided as well.

The dining area features a custom table made from local pine trees and comfortably seats 8.

Access/Parking/Hot-Tub/Grill:

The front-door has a digital code, the code will be provided a few days before arrival. The parking is just out front of the unit - no schlepping groceries and equipment all over the place to get to your rental! One parking spot is dedicated to the unit (#6 marked on the ground and on the fence) and there are additional guest parking spots on each side of the lot and in the lot below (first-come, first served). Additional day-use and overnight parking spots can also be purchased in the Village for a fee.

The hot tub and sauna are conveniently located just a stone's throw away and is useable year-round. There are BBQ grills for the complex guests use only right by the hot tub.
