In Winter
Moose Ridge Retreat is one of the most convenient stays in Big Sky — just a 5-minute walk to the shuttle, then a quick 5-minute ride to Big Sky Resort. You’ll be on the slopes before most guests even find a parking spot. A dedicated ski storage area makes it easy to grab your gear in the morning and stash it away after a day of skiing or snowboarding. At the resort, you’ll find everything you need — from lift tickets and rentals to restaurants, shopping, a grocery store, and more. While most close when the lifts stop spinning, Big Sky Town Center is only 10–15 minutes away for late-night food, drinks, and live music.

In Summer
When the snow melts, Moose Ridge Retreat becomes your front-row seat to Big Sky’s warm-weather fun. Lake Levinski is less than 5 minutes away for swimming, paddle boarding, floating, or just relaxing in the sun. Rentals for tubes, paddle boards, and more start at just $30/day. For adrenaline seekers, Big Sky Resort’s mountain biking trails are minutes away, offering thrilling rides with epic alpine views. If you prefer a slower pace, explore nearby hiking trails, archery, ziplining, or rock climbing — all surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery and fresh alpine air.

Yellowstone National Park
You’re only about an hour from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park — a natural wonder unlike anywhere else. Marvel at Old Faithful, explore colorful hot springs, and watch for bison, elk, and maybe even a bear (from a safe distance). Even a single day in Yellowstone is an experience you’ll never forget.

Chore-Free Checkout
We believe vacations should end as easily as they begin. That’s why checkout here is completely chore-free — no laundry, no dishes, no lengthy task list. Simply pack up, take one last look at the view, and go. Our team will handle everything, ensuring your departure is just as relaxing as your stay.

Other things to note
FAQs:
* How far are you from West Yellowstone Park Entrance? We are 57 miles from the park entrance.

* How far are you from Big Sky Resort/Madison Base Ski Area? We are 0.7 miles/10 minute walk to the resort. During ski season, there are open air shuttles outside of the complex that pick up skiiers every 5-10 minutes from 8:30am-6:00pm. At the end of the day, you can ski back to the condo if there is enough snow via the White Otter access, which would put you right across the street from the condo parking lot.

* How far are you from Bozeman Yellowstone Airport? We are 52 miles from BZN airport.

* What shuttle options are there from Bozeman to Big Sky? While Big Sky does have public transportation (Skyline Bus), renting a car will make your experience more seamless. If renting a car is not an option, we always recommend Karst Stages as the most cost efficient option to go from BZN to Big Sky. Uber is not reliable in Big Sky.

*Is there public transportation to the downtown area of Big Sky? Yes, the Skyline Bus picks up at the resort. Reference their website to get the most up-to-date season schedule.
