Our "Beautiful Love" used to be the horse stable belonging to the centuries-old farm in which we live.
In 2020, we transformed it together with a lot of love and passion into a tiny house with an old lived-in look.
The green staircase leads upstairs to the beautiful loft with a 180x200 bed, with a double mattress and a double sheep wool duvet.
Under the loft, you will find the beautiful bathroom and kitchen.

Upon entering, the cottage embraces you with warmth and coziness. It is an open high space with centrally the stairs to the loft where you can dream away in a good bed under the centuries-old young ladies. The neighbors' rooster will make sure you don't oversleep.
The wood-burning stove (in addition to infrared panels) provides the main heating for the cottage. We provide the wood.

There is no TV available. But there is good WiFi, so you can always watch Netflix or online TV (again) on your laptop, tablet or mobile.

Kimswerd , located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero " de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage.
Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/ Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right.

Hello, my name is Caroline. Together with Jan (my love) I bought an old farm in Kimswerd in 2009 and we moved from Leiden and Haarlem to Friesland. With a lot of pleasure, love, and perseverance, we personally transformed our beautiful ruined building into a farmhouse.
My father would have said "it's a generous splendor". And that's how we have called our pride: De Gulle Pracht.
In our yard we have converted two stables into holiday cottages:
in 2014 "de Gulle Pracht" and in 2020 "de Mooi Love".
In Harlingen, we also renovated a canal house in 2018 as a cottage: " the Good Life".
We are both nurses, not construction workers, but creativity, technical insight and the motto "where a will is a way" have brought us to this beautiful end result. We love welcoming people from all over the world and providing them with a wonderful stay.
