Pets are welcome for a flat $100 fee per stay. We allow 1 pet per reservation, but will happily consider more with prior approval. Because pets deserve vacations, too!

🐞 Important Note on Lake Life: Midges
In early June, harmless but annoying midges (mosquito lookalikes) may hatch along Lake Erie. We’ll reach out if this natural event overlaps with your stay and provide:
A bug vacuum, screens, and professional exterminator treatments
Options or recommendations for alternate arrangements if needed
We won’t let a few bugs ruin your stay—but please understand this is a natural, seasonal event and not grounds for discounts or refunds.

***You pay a cleaning fee and should not have to clean on vacation! Please leave the place tidy. We have all laundry professionally cleaned.
Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7.
THERE IS A $100 PET FEE PER STAY. WE LOVE FLUFFERS. WE THINK THEY SHOULD VACAY WITH THE FAMILY TOO. WE LIMIT 1 PET PER STAY UNLESS APPROVED IN ADVANCE.
Early Check-In Available based off occupancy, for a fee. Late check out will be charged $100/hr without prior host approval. Extra OVERNIGHT Guests that are not included in the original agreed upon booking guest count may result in a $50/day fee per additional guest.
Smoking in the house will have an additional fee of $200 charged.
Harmless Midges, will hatch in June (most likely) when the lake temps reach 60 degrees along the shores of Lake Erie, clinging to the house, cars, your hair, just about anything. The annual event happens in early June, as the lake warms up and the days get longer. That's when the mosquito lookalikes hatch, fly onto shore, swarm, and reproduce. I will contact guests who have a reservation during those days to advise and give an option. This is a natural event, and we will provide a bug vacuum during your stay. We also have professional bug treatments regularly.
Every year, the situation varies depending on the timing and number of hatchlings. We will make the best decision based on the individual circumstances. We have no intention of having guests pay for a ruined vacation venue, but we will also not offer a discount or refund for a few bugs on the lake. We have several options and will contact you so we can come up w a plan when or if that happens.
Please keep all doors and windows shut. We have provided screens on all windows and doors. We also provide a long vacuum for any insects that may sneak in during your stay. Professional exterminators do service this property as needed.
