Make some memories at this cozy and relaxing place. It is within walking distance to swimming with beach and swimming pier (400 meters), but also close to several other swimming areas. Outside the village, there are many nice walking paths with fantastic views, as well as cycling and walking distance to Mollösund (1 km). The balcony is partly covered with infrared heating. The house has a cozy partially fenced garden and a parking lot on the property. Close to additional free parking. Fireplace and air heating are available if needed. You rent the whole property.

The space
The fully equipped kitchen has access to the balcony and from the kitchen you also have a view of the other patio at the entrance. In the kitchen, there is a dining table, stove, oven, fridge/freezer and pantry. In the living room, there are comfortable sofas, a fireplace and a sleeping alcove with a day bed/sofa bed for two. The toilet is separate from a room with a sink, from the toilet there is an exit to a private outdoor shower with hot water. Many people experience this as the icing on top. Next to the house is the free cabin with room for two guests. Charcoal grill + gas grill available (bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid). The house is 56 sqm.

The summer cottage is not winterized. We therefore rent from the end of April (approx.) until September/October. (Heating is available but the water is turned off in case of frost risk)
There are a couple of older bikes you can borrow, but between guests, we can't always guarantee that the tires are okay, even if we do our best.

Where you’ll be

Mollösund, Västra Götalands län, Sweden

The house is surrounded by greenery in the quiet area of Tången just outside Mollösund. The summer cottage area is managed jointly by residents. In the area there are common lawns, playground, a communal marina and bathing jetty as well as a small sandy beach. The bathing jetty offers lovely morning sun, bath staircase and toilet. Next to the sandy beach you can walk in with kayaks.

A short walk from the property, on the way to Mollösund, the tennis court, padel courts, outdoor gym and mini golf course are located.

After a short walk or bike ride, you reach Mollösund. Here is a small grocery store, several restaurants and one appreciated glass kiosk. You can also buy fresh fish, shrimp and other good things from any of Mollösunds fishmongers. In high season, the marina and Mollösund are filled with boats and bathers who enjoy a fishing village at the end of the sea. Observe opening hours vary by season.

At the end of Mollösund you will find the lighthouse, a trampoline and swimming ladder as well as views of Måseskär and Käringön. For a larger swimming area with piers and jumping towers, take you to Kattevik.

Around Mollösund there are several color marked walking trails that take you around the village, lookouts and past the Molly windmill.

A typical day starts with the fact that in a few minutes you can get down to the dock and the first swim of the day. Once back at the house, you enjoy breakfast on the large deck. Depending on the weather, you choose if you're sitting in the shade under the roof or out in the morning sun. After breakfast you take a walk down to Mollösund and walk around a village with a 500-year history, on the way we recommend a short walk up to the viewpoint at the church. If you enjoy lunch, suggest any of the restaurants. The afternoon is spent at the jumping tower in Kattevik. The day ends with chips and barbecue at sunset on the terrace. Maybe with a detour up the mountain or to the lighthouse for sunset on the rocks.
