The space
Our unique, modern, lakefront cabin is the perfect escape from your busy everyday life for you and your dogs. Located on the shores of a private lake in the Northwoods of Chetek. WI. Our newly updated cabin has original hand hewn wooden beams overhead which give it a warm, cozy feel. There is a 58" 4K Roku TV in the living room as well as super fast fiber internet to stream your favorite shows or work remotely at the dedicated workspace with a lakeview.
Fully stocked kitchen. New refrigerator (with filtered water & Ice dispenser), gas stove, microwave and dishwasher because you shouldn't have to do dishes while you're on vacation:) Kitchen also includes several pots, pans, silverware, glasses, Keurig coffee maker (coffee pods included), coffee cups, bakeware including cookie sheets, cake pans, & casserole dishes as well as several other kitchen gadgets like can openers, wine bottle opener, spatulas, etc... we also have soft water! The only neighbors are the property owners, who are in a separate detached space, over a 7ft wood fence. (who will ABSOLUTELY respect your privacy) and the ones way across the lake.
Property includes two outdoor patios. The upper deck near the entrance has an outdoor patio set with seating for four. There is a short, gently sloped path leading down to the firepit, lower patio & private dock.
Bring your fishing pole as this lake has many fish including panfish and largemouth bass. We are also located right next to one of the top 10 muskie lakes in Wisconsin. The ATV/UTV trails connect directly to our road. We are located just a short drive to downtown Chetek. There you'll find the cutest little town on the 6 lake chain. Chetek offers many unique gift shops, farmers markets, flea markets and antique stores. You'll also find several bars & restaurants, many of which have outdoor patios right on the lake and/or have live music offerings.
If hiking is your thing, the amazingly beautiful Chippewa Moraine Ice Age Trail and interpretive Center is just a short drive away (13 miles). There you will find hiking trails, along the path where the glaciers ended, leaving behind pristine glacial landscapes, a series of ice-walled lake plains and kettle lakes. It also passes through the North Shattuck Lake State Natural Area, an area well-known as a birding paradise. Our cabin is also within a few miles of Potato Creek State Wildlife Area, and just 20 miles from Christie Mountain Ski Resort.
Guest access
Entire cabin, huge backyard with firepit & private dock. Free washer & dryer in cabin. Free parking for several cars. Firewood is available for sale at the entrance to our road or there may be some leftover fire wood near the firepit that you are welcome to help yourself to.
There is a row boat with oars and a pedal boat that guests can use AT THEIR OWN RISK. We only have a limited supply life jackets so you may want to bring your own to ensure availability and proper fit. The only neighbors are the property owners, who are in a separate detached space, over a 7ft wood privacy fence. (who will ABSOLUTELY respect your privacy!) and the ones way across the lake.

We are licensed with Rusk county and undergo annual health inspections.
