Historic penthouse suite! This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite is equipped with everything you will need--and then some. This apartment is located 1 block from Harrah's Casino and 2 blocks from the famous Superman Museum.
This building was fully renovated and has MANY luxurious upgrades- Rainfall showers, water softener, back lit LED mirrors, marble and hardwood flooring, glass showers, 8 ft doors and large flat screen TVS.
Metropolis' ONLY high end place to stay! Nicer than any hotel available.
The space
This is a historic building in Metropolis, IL. You really can't find a better location! This all brick building underwent a full renovation from 2021-2025. We now offer 2 luxurious penthouse apartments available for Airbnb use. Sadly, there is no elevator so you must be able to use stairs. Once inside, everything is all one level.
The diamond suite offers 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and a private back balcony for your use! The space is roughly 1500 sq ft.
LOCATION:
The building is a 2 minute walk from Harrah's Casino. There is an Italian restaurant across the street and a bar and grill 2 buildings down on the left.
You are less than 5 minutes from the Famous Superman Statue and Museum, as well as all of the shops and more restaurants on Market St.
The library and a kids park are also 1 block away. Fort Massac State Park is a 4 minute drive and is great for walking, checking out the old forts or watching the boats along the Ohio River.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
This 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment is fully equipped. The main bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom with glass shower and back lit LED vanity.
The second bedroom has a queen bed and flat screen TV. The second bathroom also has a glass shower and back lit LED vanity mirror.
The entire building has a water softener and bluetooth speakers in the bathrooms. Great for your hair! We also provide hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
MAIN AREA:
The kitchen has an island that seats 4. There is also a washer and dryer and dishwasher. We provide all the cooking essentials and basic spices and coffee.
We have a nespresso coffee maker for your use and will leave pods for you.
You will fall in love with the oversized crown molding, gleaming hardwood flooring, tall doors, and all the historic charm this building offers.
BONUS:
We are pet friendly for a fee (up to 30 lbs) and can provide a crate for free upon request.
We can also provide a pack n play and high chair for any little ones upon request.
PARKING:
Free (and lighted) street parking directly out front. We also have private parking space behind the building reserved for our guests.

Must be able to climb stairs! The apartment is on the second floor.
**Out of respect for any guests that might be staying in our second Airbnb, NO PARTIES OF ANY KIND!** WE DO NOT ALLOW WEDDING PARTIES/BRIDAL GET READY EVENTS/BACHELORETTE PARTIES/ETC as it creates too much noise/traffic in the building **
$500 cleaning fee will be applied if this rule is not adhered to and/or removal from the building.
If you were considering staying with us for a wedding party prior to reading our house rules, we have a salon and other space directly downstairs that you can book for that. Message me and I can assist you in that.
