Welcome to my peaceful haven at Casa Metamorphosia, a place where time slows down among the mountain peaks. Here, nature, creativity, and the joy of simple living come together. Every stay includes a clay workshop for two guests, inviting you to create, unwind, and enjoy quiet moments at a slower pace.

Together with me and Raja, my gentle giant, you’ll discover peaceful mornings, warm evenings, and the deep calm of mountain life.

The space
🟢 Clay Workshop Included in Your Stay

Every day spent here includes a one-hour clay workshop for two guests, usually held in the evening, in a quiet atmosphere over a warm cup of tea.

• The joy of creating with your hands, without a pottery wheel: I’ll guide you through simple hand-building techniques (pinching, slab building, and coil building) so you can explore the texture of the clay and create mugs, bowls, or little figurines.

• How your pottery comes to life: The full process (shaping, drying, first firing at 950°C, glazing, and the second firing) takes around one and a half weeks.

• How your memories travel home with you:

Take them home unfired as beautiful decorative pieces.
Leave them for firing and return anytime within the next 6 months to glaze them yourself.
Leave them in my care: I’ll fire them, glaze them in a beautiful color, and send them directly to your home by courier.

(Additional costs apply for firing, glazing, and shipping services.)

🟢 A Little Extra Magic: Silver Clay Jewelry Workshop

Optionally, you can create your own ring or pendant using silver clay. We fire it on the spot with a torch, transforming it into fine silver (999 silver), and you leave wearing a piece of jewelry created by your own hands.

If you’d like to explore at nature’s pace, many adventures begin right from the house:

• Mountain trails in Piatra Craiului National Park: From gentle walks to higher-altitude routes, with a full hike to the ridge taking around 7–8 hours round trip.

• Slow walks and bike rides through the nearby villages: Explore Ciocanu, Peștera, and Fundata, with their traditional houses, open meadows, and mountain views.

• Birdwatching, sunrise walks, and photography moments: Early mornings often bring soft light over the ridges, misty valleys, and peaceful landscapes.

• Picnics and quiet pauses in nature: Grab a blanket and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by hills and open views.

• Stargazing evenings: On clear nights, the sky fills with stars, making evenings outdoors just as special as the days spent exploring.

• Time for yourself: Bring a book, a sketchbook, or simply sit outside with a warm tea and let time slow down.

Please note: The attic bathroom is shared between the guest bedrooms.
