This is a 50's ranch style that has been updated with modern touches. There are tables and chairs for 6 people and place settings for 8. A cozy seating area in the living-room around the 50in tv means you can come to town for the game and not have to deal with the crowd!
There is a large fenced back yard and a park across the street with another park at the end of the block.
We strive to make updates each month. Hopefully each trip will be better than the last.

The space
There are stairs to enter and the doors are a bit narrow (28 to 32in.) but we have made every attempt to make the house as accessible as possible. There are wood or laminate floors throughout.
All the beds have microfiber water-proof coverings on the memory foam mattresses.
The garage can accommodate 2 cars and still have a little room left over.
Besides the required smoke and co2 alarms, there is a weather radio and a storm shelter on premises.

Guest access
You have free run of the place. Our rental is for the entire home. The back yard is fenced so you can let the kids and dogs run free.

Other things to note
There is a growing library of books. If you find one that suits your fancy and are not able to finish it during your stay, please feel free to take it with you.

If you are an emergency responder of any kind (law enforcement, fire, EMS, Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc.), military (former or current), in OSU's FEMP (formally FEMA) program, a Fire Protection program student, or an educator please message us before booking. We want to offer you a special thank you for your service.

Lastly, the house was built in the 50's and has a lot of the issues you would expect of a house this old. Some of the floors are not level any more. There are quirks with the placement of outlets. That being said, in 2015 all the wiring in the house was updated to comply with modern electrical codes. While it may have character, we have been assured by building professionals that it is safe and sound.

Neighborhood highlights

There is one park across the street and another at the end of the block.
The street is off the major roads so traffic is light and the area is quiet at night. There has been one report from a guest about the neighborhood kids being a bit nosy. If this happens to you, please let us know and we will try and address it.
Walmart is within walking distance and OSU is only 3 miles away.
