Enjoy the modern farmhouse charm of this lovely apartment here at Maple Hollow Farm! This space includes all new furnishings, appliances, amenities and unique, stylish decor. You will enjoy a spectacular view off the attached deck that typically includes the horses grazing in the pastures and an amazing sunset! It's a fabulous location for your next getaway or even stay-cation!

The space
This is an entire apartment located above a detached garage. It includes a full bedroom with queen size bed. The bedroom includes a sound sleep machine and phone plugs on each side of bed; a queen size sleep sofa in the living room area; a full kitchen with all the extras needed to cook your own meals if desired and an eating area; the kitchen includes a Keurig coffee maker and coffee, sweeteners and creamer, assorted tea bags and a tea kettle, and assorted snacks; one full size bathroom with tub and shower, which includes all necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, soaps, select facial masks and lotions, and 2 spa robes to relax in; two televisions..one in main living area and one in bedroom, a washer and dryer, a nice deck to relax on which includes table and a grill. Don't forget to enjoy the swing under the deck that looks over the horse pasture. It really is a lovely, warm and welcoming space. Please be aware, the apartment is located above a garage, so you must be able to climb stairs to access. Also, although we welcome children, the apartment is not "baby- proofed ".

Guest access
Guests are welcome to visit our beautiful barn, as well as the horses and barn kitties. You will definitely meet our golden retriever, Daisy also. You may view and participate in morning or evening feedings, turn out and our daily activities on the farm. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the Stock Tank Pool area when in season. During the cooler months, you will want to enjoy our firepit area (weather permitting). These areas may be shared with us or family. This farm is our pride and joy and we love sharing it! Our barn and horses also offer lots of amazing photo opportunities!

Our guidebook provides a listing of all the great things to do in the area as well as our favorite places to eat! We also have a Welcome Book/Guide available in the apartment, as well as lots of informational brochures.

We recently became part of the Calvert County Barn Quilt Trail. Deena worked with a member of the Arts Council of Calvert to create a barn quilt of her late horse Libby, to which it is dedicated. It turned out beautiful and can be seen on the barn. There is a barn quilt trail map available on line via the Calvert Arts Council, and one will be available in the apartment.

Neighborhood highlights

Our farm is located in a quiet neighborhood on about 7 acres. The neighborhood and property provide nice areas to walk or run. We are within driving distance to many good restaurants, wineries, spectacular parks, local event/wedding venues and shopping.

We have a small archery course on our property, so guests are welcome to bring their bow. In addition, we have a stock tank pool to cool off in during the summer (Don't knock it until you have tried it), and a firepit area to enjoy during the colder months (weather permitting)!

My husband, Hearst, and I own a beautiful horse farm in Port Republic MD...an old farmhouse and tobacco barn renovated. We are both retired and just recently renovated our detached garage apartment to share via AirBnB and will be the hosts also. We have 4 children and 5 grandchildren, along with 3 horses, a mini shetland pony and 2 cats and a dog. We enjoy riding, hunting, golfing, traveling, and enjoying life with friends and family.
