Our Adults Only/Pet Free Malmo Solitude Guest House is a spacious 2,000+ sqft modern farmhouse meticulously converted from a historic barn. Enjoy the stocked pond, birds and wildlife from the covered deck, patio or fire pit. You'll be surrounded by 14+ acres of countryside with a mile of manicured walking trails. Modern finishes include high speed internet, 2 Roku TVs, dishwasher, laundry, softened water, and more. 35 min. from W Omaha/Lincoln. Only 6.5 miles from the Starlight Event Center!
The space
Our country “getaway” farm-stay is designed for couples or individuals who are looking to escape the noise and hustle of the city, with many of our guests celebrating anniversaries, birthdays or just looking for a place to work remotely that inspires creativity. Inside, you will have a modern farmhouse all to yourself that was converted from the original barn in 2022. Very spacious with over 2000 sqft. Large kitchen, living room (with TV) and sitting/dining room (with TV). Large bedroom with King Bed as well as an available inflatable queen mattress (upon request) as a second bed option. Shower and soaking tub in the master bath. All the modern appliances such as convection/air-fryer oven with flat-top cook surface, water softener, reverse osmosis drinking water, dishwasher, Keurig & Drip coffee makers, 3 burner propane grill, and washer and dryer.
Outside you will find 14.5 acres with a 1/2 acre pond stocked with catfish and bluegill. A large firepit and covered deck with power and WiFi overlook the pond. We have nearly a mile of manicured walking trails on the property.
Guest access
Due to the proximity of the deep-water stocked pond and the "open concept" converted barn design (including high-end finishes, a soaking tub and septic system), the property is not child-proofed and is unsuitable for guests under the age of 14.
We have over 14 acres, and you will have access to your own house and much of the outdoors. We live in a separate house on the property that is over 200 feet away. We will likely be around the property taking care of the garden and chickens and will be available if you need anything!
Other things to note
Please read through all the listing details. We are not "commercial" Airbnb'ers. We love to share our Guest House with friends and family and are now making it available to others who are looking for a quiet get away from the city. We live in a separate house on the property and provide all our own service/cleaning (you will pass by our house on your way to our Guest House). Our property isn't "kid friendly" due to the non-fenced pond, wildlife, septic system and non-kid-proof interior. For this reason, we require all guests to be at least 14 years old.
We currently have 1 King Bed, but we do have a high quality queen sized inflatable mattress with a memory foam topper available upon request.
Please note that we have cameras on the exterior of the house and throughout the property (none inside or facing the interior of the Guest House) to maintain security, safety, and to monitor wildlife.
