Spacious and inviting, the Magpie features a king bed and soulful design. Located in downtown Ridgway, where food, music, art, and trails are just steps away. The Adobe is a handcrafted gathering place—not a hotel, but something more connected.

The space
Stay in Ridgway—the heart of the Western Slope. A counterpoint to Telluride’s gloss, this town is deeply creative and unpretentious. From the Adobe you can walk to everything, with the river just on the other side of the property—close enough to stroll to, far enough to sleep soundly.

The Adobe is a cherished Third Place, now undergoing careful restoration. This summer we’re reopening our bar and building a community garden. Nothing here is mass-produced—walls are hand-troweled, tile is laid by real people. That’s the magic.

Quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am.

Orvis Hot Springs is located right here in Ridgway, about a mile from the Adobe. Clothing optional, open-air, and one of the best soaks in Colorado.

Guest access
The guests have access to their shared bathroom, Main Room with a fireplace, The Utah Lounge, and the refrigerator and microwave in the Booth Room. Folks can walk around outside on the patio too.

We have a limited variety of cooking oils and spices and a wide variety of pots and pans in the full upstairs kitchen. Under most circumstances, the kitchen will be available. Please message us if you need access.

Other things to note
Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am. Please keep your voices at a whisper during these times, especially in the public areas. Televisions and other electronics should be kept at a respectable volume.

Neighborhood highlights

Our place is right of the Main Street in Ridgway. It’s a very close walk to most anything you might need in town- awesome shopping, tasty restaurants (we have an excellent small town food scene) and a beautiful city park with gorgeous and clean trails.

Ridgway is in a designated darkened zone where lights can’t be on at night — a rarity for almost any progressive towns — which allows the stars to put on an amazing show.
