Other things to note
🧍🏻‍♂️ Although my cottage is single-level, which can be beneficial for those with mobility challenges, there is one step leading to the main living space that is not wheelchair accessible. I have had guests bring a portable ramp to use on this step. There is also a gentle slope to access the floating dock. Feel free to discuss your requirements with me so we can ensure the cottage meets your needs.
🚤Take advantage of the nearby boat launch & cruise down the river in the summer, but be mindful of the speed limit. A short boat ride to Cameron Lake on The Trent Severn Waterway is a must.
⚓️We have a new dock for tying up, but please note that it will be removed for the winter at the beginning of October. However, our stationary deck near the water & large patio at the cottage remain. The dock will be back in the water by early May.
⛱️Most patio furniture, except the Adirondack chairs, will also be stored for the winter.
🏊‍♀️The water is deep right off the dock & there's a dock ladder for easy access in and out of the water.
🎣If you love fishing, you can fish off the dock, bring your boat or book a fishing charter.
🌊The river is wide (approx. 100'/30m), deep, clean & has a gentle current at most times of the year, making it perfect for swimming. 🚣‍♀️We have two new paddleboards, three small kayaks & floaties for your enjoyment. There is very little current in our river except for in early spring.
👮‍♀️Please note that police patrol our river, so you must have the provided lifejackets & required safety equipment when using the paddleboards, kayaks, etc. Fishing licenses are also required.
😌Our cottage provides a premium, peaceful experience with the added excitement of visiting a beautiful town just 10 minutes away. Watching the boats go through Lock 34, eating frozen yogurt or ice cream, and sitting on the patio at The Fenelon Brewery makes for a great summer day. This area is beautiful in every season and should be on your bucket list. Slow down to cottage and small-town living pace - just what the doctor ordered.
🌲Chilling in the hot tub, encircled by stunning Balsam Fir trees, next to the riverside feels absolutely divine. It's a serene setting for connecting with nature & enjoying stargazing. Plus, the hot tub is professionally maintained weekly for your peace of mind.
🥾Hiking & snowmobile trails are accessible from the cottage, with plenty of parking for a snowmobile/ATV trailer in the large driveway.
🔆The cottage is heated & cooled with a central heat pump, a propane fireplace & an electric fireplace (seasonal) to ensure you stay cozy & warm in winter & cool in summer.

🐾To keep our rental/cleaning fees affordable (and to allow your furry family members to vacation with you), please remember to bring your bed linens, blankets and towels. We have 1 queen, 2 double, and 2 single beds.
🚤Please note that our floating dock will be removed in late September or early October & will be put back in May each year.
*If you want to book a shorter stay than the minimum, send me a message.
💦 We rely on a well for our water supply, and I regularly test it to ensure its safety for drinking. We also have a UV filter. Although it occasionally has a sulfur smell, it is not harmful to drink. However, you may opt for bottled water if you prefer
👚*there is no laundry facilities at the cottage but a laundromat is close by if needed

Where I went to school: Fenelon Falls
My work: Business owner
I grew up in Fenelon Falls & moved to Toronto after school for university & work but I missed this area so I bought a cottage. Beautiful lakes & rivers - I love the water! I am a mom of 3 and run a business. I love to travel & stay at the cottage when I can. I am looking forward to hosting families that need a break from city life. I know the area well & would love the opportunity to help you enjoy it to the fullest.
