Escape to Loon's Nest, a charming cabin that proves that big adventures can come in small packages. Nestled on a winding mountain road (see photos for aerial shots) leading into the heart of Long Lake, this cozy retreat offers unparalleled convenience for exploring the Adirondacks. Steps from the Northville-Placid Trail South Trailhead, minutes from the Long Lake boat launch, and a short drive to the town center, you'll have easy access to hiking, fishing, boating, dining, and shopping.

The space
**We recommend a maximum occupancy of four adults.**

***The Long Lake Fish and Game Club is our good neighbor next door. Outdoor noise from events while the club is open during Spring and Summer is minimal and sporadic, and range activities are limited to certain hours during the week and weekend.****

Once your booking is confirmed, we will provide a copy of our Welcome Guide so you can review information about the cabin, including the checkout list.

Despite its size, Loon's Nest boasts everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay. Warm up by the wood stove on chilly nights (a starter bundle of firewood is provided), or enjoy the modern comforts of radiant floor heating and high-speed fiber optic wireless internet.

The fully-equipped kitchen makes meal prep a breeze, and the inviting patio with a gas grill, rocking chair, and porch swing is perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation.

Gather around the smokeless fire pit or the in-ground fire pit for evenings under the stars.

Pamper yourself in the full bathroom's soaking tub and shower combination. Curl up with a good book in the reading nook or relax in the inviting sitting room.

The loft provides comfortable sleeping arrangements for five, with three twin beds and a full-size bed.

Ample parking on the property can accommodate a medium-size boat and trailer, with some room to spare for up to two additional vehicles.

Guest access
Make yourself at home and explore! The entire cabin and property are yours to enjoy, with the exception of the locked owner's closet and the garage adjacent to the cabin. For your convenience, the shed is available for discarding garbage and recycling at the end of your stay. Please note that other items stored in the shed are not for guest use.

Other things to note
Air conditioning is provided upstairs (window unit) from June through the end of September.

CLEANING, LINENS AND TOWELS: Daily housekeeping services are not included in the rental rate. Guests must provide their own linens, including bed sheets and pillowcases. Host will, however, provide bathroom and kitchen towels, blankets, pillows, and a limited amount of basic paper goods.

FIREWOOD: We provide a starter bundle of firewood for use in the outdoor fire pits and/or the wood stove inside the cabin. If additional firewood is required, it can be easily sourced from firewood kiosks located around town, or the Stewart's gas station just down the road.

I'm Rich - the owner of Loon's Nest. I'm an avid fisherman with a lifelong passion for the Adirondacks. I've spent countless hours fishing on every lake in the region for the better part of my life - a tradition I now share with my four sons. Owning a piece of this beautiful park has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so happy to share Loon's Nest with our guests. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
