The space
Welcome to Loom, a space inspired by the art of weaving — where each thread represents a story, a history, and a connection that binds us together.

Here, you’ll find touches of Borneo’s rich craft traditions — from handwoven tikar mats and pua kumbu textiles to rattan forms and natural materials that carry the warmth of our land and people.
Alongside them, you’ll notice carefully collected pieces from craft cultures around the world — a reminder that artistry travels, traditions speak across borders, and beauty is universal in the hands of makers.

Loom is also designed as a quiet, private mini-museum. Throughout the home, selected objects are displayed with simple display cards and QR codes, allowing guests to learn about the origins, makers, motifs, and stories behind each piece at their own pace.

Plenty of cafes and restaurants are just a stone throw away - Woo!, Nook Cafe, Biru-Biru, Mamasita, El Centro, Makoto just to name a few! And a laundromat just below the house.

The space:
The shophouse features 3 bedrooms with platform beds, clean white linens, and calming earthy tones.

A cozy living area with vintage furniture, a kitchen and dining space framed by sunlight and colourful Haitang glass windows once used in mosques. Our functional kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics you’ll need for everyday cooking. You’ll find a stove, cookware, utensils, plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery. A fridge, kettle, microwave and rice cooker are also provided.

Step outside onto the balcony lined with potted frangipani trees, where you can sip your morning coffee, read a book, or simply watch the neighborhood come alive. And as the day turns into night, the second balcony offers street-sunset views.

As we’re located on Lorong Dewan, expect some street sounds — it’s part of the energy that makes this area so vibrant and convenient!
