Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
Filtered Pacific Ocean views, one private acre, and a bottle of wine when you arrive. A cozy two-room cabin — perfect for couples, solo travelers, or families with young children — on the ocean side of Highway 1 between Gualala and Point Arena. The weathered siding is original, but inside is a different story.

The space
Decades ago, someone had the good sense to move this 1930s hunting cabin down from the ridge to where it sits now, closer to the ocean. Our family recently renovated it, and kept what makes it a cabin.

The living area has a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a wood-burning stove, 43" Roku TV, and a queen sofa-sleeper. The bedroom has a queen bed, its own Roku TV, and a peekaboo view of the ocean. The bathroom (accessed through the bedroom) has floor-to-ceiling sea-glass green tile, a teak folding bench, two shower heads, and a built-in niche stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. All rooms have in-floor radiant heat with individual thermostats. When our neighbors' hens are laying, we leave a complimentary six-pack of farm-fresh eggs for you.

Outside: An acre to yourselves — covered porch, south-facing open deck, BBQ, and propane fire table. Drink your cup of coffee on the deck while taking in the Pacific Ocean view and ease into the day with birdsong and sea lions in the distance. Deer, quail, and the occasional fox wander through; Pelican Bluffs and Cook's Beach are a short drive when you're ready to explore.

A few notes: During the day you'll hear Highway 1 (it's a two-lane road), but it quiets down at night. Our neighbors' three Labs may occasionally wander over to say hello; just let us know if you'd like them to head home. The water is creek-fed and triple-ozone filtered, fine for cooking and showering; we stock bottled water for drinking.

This has been our family's place for nearly five decades. We take good care of it, and we're available if you need anything.

Guest access
The entire place is yours. We just ask that you stay within the property fences out of respect for the neighbors.

Other things to note
Our neighbor and Co-Host, Marykate, runs Warner Point Oceanfront Beach Cottage next door — same turnoff, a few minutes' walk, and a great option if your group needs more room.

Neighborhood highlights

Anchor Bay is considered the "banana belt" of the coast. Our location is often sunny and protected from the wind and fog. Please remember that we are on the coast, so please bring layers for your comfort.

For larger groups traveling together, we highly recommend our neighbor's (and co-host's) property, Warner Point Oceanfront Beach Cottage. We share the same driveway, and both properties can be easily accessed by a short walk.

Born in the 70s
My work: Problem solver
I'm a born and raised Northern Californian who loves to explore. My husband Corey and I love kayaking, fishing, MLB baseball games & searching out amazing local eateries and cultural gems when we travel. Back home, I’m an avid baker (I even have a few county fair ribbons on the shelf!), knitter, & reader. I love the ocean, sunshine, family, & meeting new people. We’re warm, respectful guests excited for our next adventure!
