Escape to a romantic digital detox, a peaceful off-grid dome in the French countryside. No screens, no rush - just birdsong, big skies and total tranquillity.
Wake to sunrise views, sip coffee on the deck, and unwind by the wood stove under the stars. A cosy, cocooned stay designed for switching off, slowing down and reconnecting with nature.
This spacious igloo-style dome offers 180° valley views, surrounded by woodland and stillness.
The space
Escape to a peaceful off-grid dome perched above a valley in Saint Georges des Agouts, surrounded by fields, vineyards and woodland. A short walk brings you to breathtaking views over the Gironde estuary, while at night the sky fills with stars.
Light, spacious and cocooning, the dome features a large bay window, clear ceiling canopy and multiple windows, so you can lie in bed watching horses graze below or stargaze above. Curtains allow you to create a cosy, private space whenever you wish.
Designed for a true digital detox, there is no electricity inside the dome. Instead, we provide soft solar lighting, a fan and phone charging, with mains power available nearby in the shower block.
On cooler evenings, the wood-burning stove keeps things warm and inviting, perfect for unwinding to the sound of crackling firewood (included throughout your stay).
Just 20m away, you’ll find clean toilets and a hot shower. A private outdoor kitchen with gas hob, BBQ, fridge and dining area lets you cook and eat outside, while the large deck is ideal for morning coffee or sunset drinks.
The dome sleeps up to four, with a comfortable double bed facing the valley and two single beds. Bed linen is provided.
Nature is all around you, birds, deer, and ever-changing skies, yet you’re only a short drive from local villages, markets, restaurants and wine estates, as well as day trips to Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Talmont-sur-Gironde.
Guest access
You can park safely outside the barn doors on your right when arriving. A short walk through the garden to find the dome nestled into the woodland. Follow 'Dome' signs.
The dome sits on top of a large private raised deck, with ample room for seating. You can enjoy this area all to yourself, overlooking the valley.
There is a large drop (1m) at the front of the decking, so please be aware of this if thinking about staying with small children.
Clean, flushable toilets and a gas-powered hot shower are located in a nearby outbuilding, approximately 20 metres from the dome.
Bed linen and towels for the shower are provided; please bring your own towels if you plan to use the pool.

The octagonal pool is 3.6m wide x 1m deep. It's open June-September and is located approx 60m away from the dome in a separate part of the property. Perfect for a refreshing dip on warm summer days.
