Reconnect with nature at our unforgettable escape. Situated in the French countryside with nature all around, listening to the birds and watching the horses below.

Unplug, unwind and soak up nature. Catch the morning sunrise whilst enjoying your morning coffee on the outside deck.

A spacious dome in the shape of an igloo with a 180° view of the french valley below, hugged by the woodlands.

If the skies are clear, enjoying stargazing, either outside or though our unique dome ceiling window.

The space
Our dome is at the top of a valley in Saint Georges des Agouts. The tranquil destination is surrounded by fields, vineyards, and woodlands to explore.

A short walk gives you breathtaking views across the Gironde estuary. The stars at night are incredible.

The dome is very light and spacious inside. Not only does it have a magnificent large bay window, but also a clear ceiling canopy, 3 windows, and a glass door. It is also equipped with generous curtains, and you can close the windows should you want to shut out the light a little, to get a nap.

There is no electricity within the dome, allowing you to truly unplug. However, we do have battery-operated lamps, low solar lighting, a solar fan and a solar phone charger. (Don't worry, mains charging is also available in the shower block. Along with creature comforts like a hair dryer!).

For the colder nights of the year, there is a delightful wood burning stove inside, providing heat and making it warm and cosy. You can unwind while watching the flames crackle away, enjoying a hot drink. Firewood is provided for free throughout your stay.

The dome has a full size aluminium upvc frosted glass door with a lock. (This means you don't have to climb through tent openings!). This door is also fitted with a floor to ceiling mosquito net (with magnetic close) so you can confidently leave the door open during a summer's day. The 3 triangular windows are also fitted with mosquito mesh. Or you can just roll up the mesh and liner and enjoy the open air.

Clean flushable toilets and hot gas-powered shower facilities are also available a short walk away, perhaps 20m across the garden.

There is a small fridge that you have private access to, for free. We provide umbrellas just in case you need to visit the facilities during a short rain shower. Although it's wise to plan to bring your boots, especially if it's been raining a lot. (And perhaps some slippers!)

If needed, launderette facilities can be found in the village, 5km away.

Outdoor seating is provided on the large private decking. The perfect spot to sit and unwind, overlooking the fields and vines. There is a large drop (1m) at the front of the decking, so please be aware of this if thinking about staying with small children.

We provide a well equipped outdoor kitchen with a 3-hob gas stove for cooking. A kettle and cooking utensils are provided. We also have an outdoor table, chairs and separate bbq that you are free to use.

The dome has a comfortable double bed facing out onto the valley. Plus two single beds are available. Bed linen is provided. (Although please remember to bring your own towels). There are thick curtains within the dome so that you can enjoy privacy or keep the light out.

A picturesque view directly from the dome, it's the perfect spot for exploring nature. Especially bird spotting. Several guests have even seen deer in the field.

As well as a charming valley, you also have lots of sightseeing on offer. The estuary, local wildlife, wine tasting and cognac chateaux, cities such as Bordeaux and La Rochelle or atmospheric locations such as Talmont sur Gironde.

Although situated in a quiet hamlet, shops, restaurants and fun activities are only a short drive away. Check out our local guide for things to do.

Guest access
You can park safely off-road, on our private gardens, next to the main house. Access is a short walk through the garden to find the dome nestled into the woodland. (But just enough on the edge to benefit from the sunlight)

The dome sits on top of a large private raised deck, with ample room for seating. You can enjoy this area all to yourself, overlooking the valley.

There is a large drop (1m) at the front of the decking, so please be aware of this if thinking about staying with small children.

Clean, flushable, toilets and a gas-powered hot shower are located in a nearby outbuilding, approximately 20 metres from the dome.

We provide bed linen and towels for the shower, but please remember to bring your own towels for the pool.

Pool:

The octagonal pool is 3.6m wide x 1m deep. It's open June-September and is located approx 60m away from the dome in a separate part of the property.

Other things to note
Please note: On weekend mornings during hunting season (September-March) you may see the 'Chasse' (hunt) in neighbouring woods and fields. Or hear them hunting in the area.

There is a large drop (1m) at the front of the decking, so please be aware of this if thinking about staying with small children.
