This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
All newly refurbished, we know you are going to enjoy your stay here. 4 bedrooms, bathroom and separate toilet, open plan living, dining and kitchen give the common room some space. We love that it's countryside but super handy if you want to pop into town for something.

The space
This place is somewhere we've really loved putting together for accommodation. It's got two large bedrooms and two smaller ones that allow a family to stay with room to spare.

With a full kitchen and fridge/freezer it's ideal for longer stays also as self-catering is nice and easy. We are 2 minutes away from the local supermarket for supplies or there are eateries in Otorohanga, Te Kuiti or Waitomo Village.

Set alongside the Mangapu river there's a nice sense of space and peace.

Comfortable pocket spring beds and nice linen should give you a great nights sleep ready for the next day.

If you're travelling with a little one, we have a Steelcraft Portacot and a highchair that can be made available for you. The bathroom has a bath. Nighlight also included with a few standard infant items for your convenience.

Guest access
There is plenty of off road secure parking. If you are travelling with a trailer, or multiple vehicles there's no problem.
The adjacent paddocks are available for grazing if you have horses with you for local events.

Other things to note
The house has an adjoining studio if you require additional space - see our other listing. It is not accessible to each other internally - completely separate entrance.

Where you’ll be

Otorohanga, Waikato, New Zealand

A few minutes south of Otorohanga and handily located on State Highway 3 to base yourself for touring the area. Waitomo and Ruakuri Caves are 10 minutes away. Kiwi House is 4 minutes. Te Kuiti is 10 minutes. It's a great option for basing yourself in the area to explore places that are closer than you think. Golf courses, Caving, Kayaking etc.

I'm a born and bred local Kiwi girl who has loved travelling the world during my life. Favourite trips have been Myanmar, Baltics, Norway, USA and China and Europe. Haven't really been anywhere I didn't enjoy - some are just a little more challenging but that's the whole point right ;-) I've been hosting for a couple of years and love being able to offer people a great place to stay with everything they need when they are away from home. When I'm travelling I especially enjoy having a space instead of a poky hotel room, and to be able to self cater after getting local food to try.
