The space
Overlooking the serene Lacepede Bay in Kingston SE you get to turn the key in the lock of a very special cottage which will transport you back in time when the role of the lighthouse keepers was essential in safeguarding shipping.

Lovingly restored and passionately maintained, the house is a savvy blend of original spaces with chic touches of practical modernity. It’s gorgeous high ceilings and tasteful interior colours give every room a light airy feel. You feel awed by it’s timeless design but relaxed by the homely vibes inviting you to unpack the suitcase in your chosen room, to then congregate round the breakfast counter to sip on beverages as you all plan on how to enjoy your time.

Guest access

Neighborhood highlights

A fishing mecca for those who wield the hook & line, the bay is the ideal playground for all things to do with the sea. Notably, the original Cape Jaffa Lighthouse was historically relocated to the Kingston foreshore and is a hop, skip and jump from where you are staying. Stroll on down and take a fascinating tour that will all the more endear the lovely house you're staying in to you and yours.

Best of all, Kingston SE is a great base to explore what was known as the Shipwreck Coast. Meander through the Mount Benson Wine region, with its award-winning delicate, cool-climate, maritime-influenced wines, on your way to the sensational coastal township of Robe. Its cafes, stunning short walks/beaches, culture and shopping await your perusal.
From there it's over to Beachport for stunning sunsets out over the historic pier as you enjoy tasty pub fare.

And when you're ready to head inland a bit, the rural charms of perfect Penola will be a fine day out. Its great antique shops and historic precincts are sure to entice you before you drive to experience the splendid boutique wines and tasty nibbles of the Coonawarra wine region.
