With two ensuite bedrooms, a full kitchen, lounge and direct river access for swimming or kayaking, it’s the perfect base for exploring Maya ruins or simply relaxing in nature’s peace.

The space
Libélula River Lodge, a design-led eco-retreat on a private riverside acre in Bullet Tree Falls, just 10 minutes drive from San Ignacio. Completed in 2025, this elevated steel-frame lodge offers air-conditioning, cooling airflow, privacy and serene views of the Mopan River.

Inside, whitewashed walls, vaulted ceilings and handcrafted cedar furniture create a calm, airy feel. The open-plan living area features a fully equipped kitchen, central island, lounge with futon, smart TV, games and books. A cedar-beamed hallway overlooks Paslow Falls - a perfect spot to pause or birdwatch.

Two en-suite bedrooms include AC, fans and storage. The master has a king bed, river views and rain shower; the second has twin beds (convertible to king) and a walk-in shower.

Enjoy two balconies with hammocks and a spiral staircase to the river. There’s also a shaded ground-floor terrace, filtered rainwater, washer/dryer, smart lock and gated parking.

Inspired by Belizean-Guatemalan textures, Libélula; Spanish for dragonfly, is your peaceful jungle base near Mayan ruins, forest hikes and the vibrant town of San Ignacio.

You’ll be near Xunantunich and Cahal Pech ruins, waterfalls, forest hikes, river tubing and the vibrant markets of San Ignacio—then return to the comfort of your private jungle lodge.

Guest access
Guests have full private access to the lodge, including two en-suite bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, balconies, shaded terrace, washer/dryer, gated entry, and one acre of jungle grounds with direct river access.

Other things to note
Built in 2025, Libélula is fresh and still settling in. A welcome folder includes Wi-Fi details, appliance guides, and local recommendations. Please treat the home with care and let us know if anything needs attention.
