The stylish gîte 'Le Palmier' is perfecty located in the middle of the hidden gem Puissalicon, only a few steps away from the lively wine bar Picamandil. Located between the larger cities such as Beziers and Narbonne and the sea and the mountains, there is so much to do in the area. The studio provides privacy, an own entrance, a lovely private garden and the possibility to park your car securely in your garden.
The space
Gîte Le Palmier:
The studio has a Queen-size bed (160 x 200) with premium bed linen. The closet behind the bed provides enough space for storing your clothes and other belongings.
There is a new and fully equipped kitchen: two-zone induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, nespresso, electric kettle and plenty of tableware. You will find everything you'll need to prepare delicious home cooked meals. Basics such as good olive oil, peper and salt, dishwasher tabs are present.
The small but sufficient separate bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, vanity unit and hairdryer. We provide towels of premium quality.
The private entrance of the studio is trough the big blue main gate. The enclosed garden is private (we live upstairs and have our own garden at the back of the house on the upper level). There is space to park your car in the garden, but you can also choose to park your car on the street. The garden has sun and shade spots, a table with 4 chairs as well 2 deck chairs to relax, a BBQ and a small herb garden (you may use the fresh herbs!) The garden with its flowers, plants, ancient walls, big palmtree (le Palmier) and tranquility is such an enchanting place, you will very much enjoy your morning coffee in the sun or l'appero in the afternoon.
Puissalicon and the area:
Puissalicon is a small and charming winemakers village in the heart of the Côtes du Thongue wine area. In Puissalicon you'll find the best winebar of the region: Picamandil! With more than 400 regional wines, a lively bar and cosy garden, a must visit! Besides Picamandil there is a lovely bistro , Cap et Mestra and Chez Louka with wood fire pizza's.
The gîte is perfectly located to discover the area, which has so many things to do and to see. Puissalicon is situated between the mountains and the sea; both within 30 minutes. It is surrounded by lovely other 'circulades' winemakers villages and of course many, many vineyards.
Some of our favorite places:
- The picturesque town of Pèzenas: famous for it's brocante stores and the lively Saturday market;
- Les Halles de Béziers, Narbonne and Sète. Three fantastic market halls for groceries and to have lunch;
- The beaches of Sète or more nearby Valras and Sérignan Plage;
- Etang de Thau: the most magnificent place to eat fresh oysters;
- The river l'Orb is perfect for swimming, kayaking and picknicks.
