Are you looking for the perfect base to explore the Scottish Highlands?

Our lodge overlooks Leanachan Forrest and has some beautiful views. we live in a quiet remote area just one mile out of Spean Bridge, 8 miles/10km from Fort William (the home of Ben Nevis) and only 4 miles/6km from Nevis Range ski resort.

The area also offers many outdoor activities such as downhill biking, skiing, climbing, mountaineering, stunning scenic walks, fishing and lots more.

We hope you enjoy your stay.

The space
Our lodge has been hand crafted using local materials and is unique in every way!

All of the materials used to build our lodge have been locally and ethically sourced from the surrounding area. It has been built by a local craftsman - Norman Clark (Clark Pods).

The external wood (Larch) has been sourced from Loch Arkaig and the internal wood (Douglas Fir) has been sourced from Loch Ness. The insulation is 100% pure sheep wool.

The area is over 40² mtrs. It has parking space for two cars and is private and fully enclosed.

There is a large picnic bench and outdoor furniture.

There is a small kitchenette to make simple meals, there are cups, wine glases, plates, bowls and cuttelry. This includes a microwave with integrated grill, a small air fryer, kettle and under counter fridge, unfortunately there is no hot plate or hob for pans. There is also a collapsible washing up bowl.

**For your safety please use the ladders to access the top bunk, there is also an additional bed guard stored behind the sofa.**

There is a large secure shed within the enclosed area to store all your large outdoor equipment eg. mountain bikes, skis and muddy boots.

There is also an outdoor tap to wash everything down.

Guest access
We have added extra instructions and photographs to find our exact location, you can find the details/photograps in the "Check in Instructions" area of our listing after the key/lock box information. The postcode of our address is a large area and won't give you the correct directions to find us. Please message us if you need to and we will get back to you ASAP.

We have a large enclosed garden/parking area next to the Lodge that can accommodate 2/3 cars. Please be carefull when reversing.

Other things to note
The West Highland Train Line runs adjacent to the property which is considered by many to be the most scenic rail journey in the world. There are just a few scheduled trains that pass each day from Glasgow/Fort William (first at 08:00am and last 10:00 pm) it is not a busy line and they are only for a few seconds, if you are lucky you might see the Jacobite Steam Train (Harry Potter Train) or the Royal Scotsman.
Times the trains pass by are 08:00am, & 10:00am - 18:00pm, 20:00:pm & 22:00pm, please consider before booking.

Please keep in mind that we have neighbours.
We kindly ask you to keep the noise to a respectable level.

Thank You.

Lives in Spean Bridge, United Kingdom
Hello my name is Annette My family has lived in the Highlands for around 20+ years and we love it! originally from England (Cheshire) we moved up after falling in love with the beautiful scenery and people. We decided to move to Spean Bridge just outside of Fort William where we spent 2 years building a boutique wooden lodge, so guests can experience the area that we fell in love with.
