IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE:

Please be aware that this is a nature experience, and while it is designed for your comfort, it does not have all the basics of home, specifically:

1)The off grid power supply is very limited, use of additional electrical devices is strictly prohibited due to risk of fire (no hairdryers, cooking appliances, personal heaters, etc.). There is an outlet for cell phone charging only.
2) Cooking is not permitted inside the yurt
3) There is no running water, natural mineral water from a drilled well is provided in a large glass dispenser with 20L of extra supply. There is a kettle to boil water and a sink with drain for basic washing inside the yurt. There is an empty bin for dirty dishes and dishwashing service included for the end of your stay.
3) The toilet is a traditional outhouse, located in a small building ~40’ from the yurt, it is clean and well lit, but is rustic and not heated so expect to minimize time spent there ;)
4) There is no regular shower. Two 9.5 litre refillable camping shower bags provided for use in the hot tub gazebo on the shower platform.

Guest access
Tall Pines Nature Retreats is located about 1 km off County Road 503, with a paved, well-maintained road accessible year-round. Guests access the yurt via a flat, seasonal walk-in trail approximately 300 feet from the designated parking area.

We operate a boutique horticulture farm on the property that specializes in native trees and plants. Nature retreat guests have access to shared trails, waterfront and sitting areas throughout the five acre property.

There are two yurts at Tall Pines Nature Retreats. La Rouge sits on its own very private half acre tucked in the woods on the far side of the property. The other yurt (L’Orange) is approximately 300’ feet away separated by mature forest. Both yurts have been designed with utmost attention to detail for your privacy so you will be totally immersed in nature. Contact us for details on the other yurt.

Our family log chalet is located in a private space on the far side of the property. We operate a seasonal farm stand near the roadside where you can purchase fresh eggs, maple syrup and native plants.

Freshly laid, organic, forest free range eggs are available on request inside your yurt ($3 half dz).

You may encounter chickens wandering around, inquisitive alpacas and dwarf goats playing in the front field, they are all very friendly :)

We welcome your inquiries and look forward to hosting you!
