Welcome to Lake Affect Retreat — a serene, lakefront guest suite on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille, just minutes from Sandpoint. This private 1-bedroom, 1-bath suite occupies the entire lower level of our modern home (we live upstairs) and has its own entrance.

The space
The secondary unit with a private entrance in our home (we live on the top two floors) is a peaceful lakefront home located on curvy Bottle Bay Road. Close to Sandpoint, you will see City Beach and Schweitzer Mountain from the 1 bedroom, 1 bath guest suite. This custom designed, modern style home with beautiful contrasting dark color and cedar siding boasts outdoor living at its finest with a full size grill, dining table and seating - the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal and a glass of your favorite adult beverage and enjoy the view.

*BEDROOMS & BATH*
Lake Affect Retreat comfortable sleeps up to four guests comfortably, making it ideal for couples and friends. The primary ‘Mountain bedroom,’ as we call it, includes a queen-size bed, plenty of closet space and TV with it’s own lake access through the sliding glass door.

The ‘Lake Room’ is also the living room with a comfortable sofa sleeper, TV. Both sleeping spaces are designed with comfort in mind. We also offer one twin size comfort plush luxury airbeds for our guest's stay.

The apartment has one bathroom, which features tub-style shower and large vanity. Feel free to utilize the blow dryer, single-use makeup wipes or hair ties during your stay.

*INDOORS*
You'll enter the home and notice the awesome view through large vertical windows. Make your way down the stairs and notice "Aurora Over Lake Pend Oreille" painting by local artist, Lucy West. Make yourself at home.

*OUTDOORS*
Lake Affect Retreat is located on one acre of mountainous land that we have carved out to provide a fire pit area, herb garden in the "crescent" and a path to the dock. We have kept the land pretty wild, not toddler friendly.

*KITCHEN & DINING*
The fully equip kitchen features a gas range, oven and a GE refrigerator. The open shelving is stocked with colorful Fiestaware dishes & spices for use during your stay. Feel free to enjoy the sunrise paired with a cup of Joe from the single serve Keurig.

Thinking of throwing a tri-tip on the grill? Full size grill and outdoor dining set complete with grill tools, is ready for you on the patio with seating for six. Or you can opt in for dining indoors at the dining table with seating also for six.

Access to the lower patio, grill, pathway to the dock and of course, the dock!

Other things to note
The vacation rental is on the lake level of our home. The whole house is not for rent.
