It is in the heart of a typical and peaceful hamlet of the Chartreuse mountain range,
at an altitude of 1000 m, that the Caroline barn is located, which we have transformed into a dwelling. The cottage is rated 4 **** by Atout France.

We chose to keep the exposed frame.

Large living room of about 60 m2 with kitchen, dining room / living room open to a balcony with magnificent views of the peaks. Warm mountain atmosphere.

Residing 60 m from the cottage, we are very available.

The space
It is a spacious house of about 140m2 on two levels that has the particularity of benefiting from a sleeping area on the ground floor and a day space upstairs.

It is located in a hamlet of Chartreuse whose inhabitants are called Carolines and Carolins, hence the name of the cottage.

On the ground floor heated by radiators in each room, you have:

• Three bedrooms: a 14m2 bedroom with a double bed of 160 and two single bunk beds, a 14m2 bedroom with a double bed of 140 and two single bunk beds, a 9m2 bedroom with a double bed of 140.

• a bathroom with a walk-in shower,

• a toilet,

• a technical room with a washing machine, washing machine, water heater, meter,

• a small summer kitchen to make your meals outdoors easier It sits on an aspiring terrace facing the surrounding peaks. Two tables, garden chairs and sun loungers will allow you to share with your family or friends good convivial moments.

Upstairs, all under slope with the exposed framework, you have:

• kitchen open to the living room. It is well equipped (an induction plate, an electric oven, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a dishwasher with plates, cutlery, glasses, dishes and all cooking utensils).

• a living room of about 50m2 with a dining area with a table and chairs, a seating area with a sofa
and chairs.

The living room opens to a spacious balcony with a beautiful view on which it is possible to have lunch.

• a small sloping living room with a sofa and TV,

• a toilet.

The floor is heated by a pellet stove.

For the safety of your young children, a removable gate can be installed at the top of the stairs.

We leave at your disposal basic food products (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper...) as well as tea towels, sponges and cleaning products.

A compost bucket and a composter are available.

Check-ins start at 5 pm and checkouts start before 11am.

Minimum 2 night rental and 4 nights during the school holidays in Zone A, linens and towels provided.

To enhance your stay, we provide you with books, games, toys, a raclette, fondue, pancake machine.

Ideal for couples of friends and also for two families with children.

Please let us know by message before you check in.

Guest access
You will be able to park in assigned spaces adjacent to the house.

Other things to note
A few of our expectations:

As we are very vigilant to preserve the peaceful life of our hamlet, parties with decibels likely to disturb our neighbors are not welcome.

For the well-being of all, there is no smoking area inside the unit.

No pets allowed.

As the floors in the house are made of untreated natural pine, we ask that you take off your shoes to access the bedrooms on the ground floor and the upstairs living room. In advance, please respect this rule, which will prevent us from re-passing everything.

In this remote area there is no sewage. So please do not flush anything into the toilet that may clog the all-water pit: just toilet paper.

Drone: We remind you, in case of use of a drone, that flying over private spaces is prohibited by law without the consent of the owner. As a result, the entire hamlet.

Thank you for your understanding.

I spend too much time: Mountain walks
Patrick and I, we have lived in the Chartreuse for about ten years and enjoy the happiness of living in nature in a place that fully matches our aspirations. We like to share with our family, our friends all the pleasures related to the mountain: hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking... We also love the ocean and its wide open spaces, which we visit regularly. We greatly appreciate the authentic encounters that give us the opportunity to share moments of conviviality. It is in this spirit that we want to welcome you to our beautiful Chartreuse and be welcomed during our travels.
