The space
Welcome to our renovated old sheepfold, classified 3 stars, located in the heart of nature on the heights of Tholy, in the Hautes-Vosges. This 80 m² cottage combines rustic charm and modern comfort, ideal for a stay with family or friends (up to 6 people + baby).
The entrance is through a half-level, with integrated cupboards and separate toilet.
Going down a few steps, you access a cozy living room, equipped with a sofa, armchair, TV and a wood-burning stove, perfect for your evenings by the fire.
The fully fitted and equipped kitchen offers:
- Oven, stove, hood, microwave
- Dishwasher, filter coffee maker & Nespresso
- Water boiler, toaster
- Raclette, fondue, pierrade
On the same level, you will find a bathroom with shower, sink and washing machine.
Upstairs, two large comfortable bedrooms, each with:
- A queen size double bed (160 x 200 cm)
- A single bed (90x200 cm)
- A wardrobe
A second separate toilet with sink is also upstairs.
For toddlers, we provide:
- A wooden crib with bars
- A high chair
- A foldable bathtub
Bed linen, towels and household linen (tea towels, bath mats, etc.) are provided for a carefree stay.
Guest access
Access to La Bergerie is via a small winding mountain road, typical of the Hautes-Vosges. The road is cleared of snow in winter, but in cold weather (November to March), we strongly recommend a vehicle equipped with snow tires or chains/socks.
The house is located in an area subject to the Mountain Law, making special equipment mandatory from November 1 to March 31.
Private parking is available on-site, allowing you to park safely in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation.
We advise you to be careful on the road, especially in winter, and to provide a vehicle suitable for mountain conditions.
Other things to note
* The sheepfold is located in the heart of nature, in a quiet and peaceful environment. Please respect the peace and quiet of the place and the neighbors. No parties or events
* The accommodation is non-smoking.
* No pets allowed
* In winter, mandatory special equipment (snow tires or chains) from November 1 to March 31, in accordance with the Mountain Law.
* Only 2 cars can be parked in front of the accommodation.
* If you come with more than 2 vehicles, parking is available about 1 km away, at the bottom of the Berlingoutte road.
* Firewood provided free of charge during autumn and winter for the wood stove.
*Use of the wood-burning stove is only guaranteed during the winter period
* The sheepfold is not suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM) due to the half-levels and stairs present in the accommodation.
* Check-in is from 4 p.m., and check-out is before 10 a.m.
