The space
Tucked away in the prestigious Anse Chastanet / Jade Mountain area of Soufrière, La Batterie Villa is a private Caribbean retreat designed for relaxation, comfort, and unforgettable views. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the villa features a tranquil swimming pool with a shaded cabana, a serene lily pond, and expansive decks that invite you to slow down and take in your surroundings. Perched approximately 300 feet above the Caribbean Sea and facing the iconic Pitons, the villa enjoys cooling island breezes and panoramic scenery that never fails to impress.
Inside, La Batterie blends traditional Caribbean architecture with refined craftsmanship. Native stone, teak, and rich mahogany woods create a warm, elegant atmosphere, while classic louvered plantation-style doors open the home to the sights, sounds, and natural beauty of the outdoors.
The villa offers three spacious bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and a private en suite bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. Every bedroom includes wardrobe closets and its own lounging patio for added privacy. The master suite overlooks the Caribbean Sea, while the two additional bedrooms enjoy peaceful views of the gardens. These two rooms may also be arranged with twin beds upon advance request.
A loft above the living area can accommodate up to two additional guests; however, we recommend this space for teenagers to ensure maximum comfort.
La Batterie is thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and shared moments. The terracotta-tiled living and dining rooms face the sea and open onto a stunning 40-foot teak deck, offering a front-row seat to the Pitons and passing boats below. The dining room seats six and is an ideal setting for memorable Caribbean meals. Guests may arrange private dining with our wonderful in-house chef, Stephanie, for a truly effortless vacation experience. Breakfast can also be enjoyed poolside at the cabana, where the gentle sound of the waterfall sets the tone for a perfect day.
The villa is fully staffed, including two housekeepers, a gardener, pool maintenance, and nighttime security, all included in your rental. For those who wish to dine at the villa, Stephanie works closely with guests to create customized menus based on your preferences. She prepares everything from authentic St. Lucian dishes to American and European favorites with a Creole flair. Meal preparation fees are $15 USD for breakfast and $30 USD for lunch or dinner, plus the cost of ingredients. Grocery shopping can be conveniently arranged by the staff. Please note that the preparation fee is per meal, not per person.
For guest peace of mind, the property is equipped with exterior security cameras located only at entry points such as gates and pathways. There are no cameras inside the villa or in guest living areas, decks, or the pool. Cameras are not actively monitored during guest stays and recordings are reviewed only when necessary for staff verification, weather events, or reported incidents.

The villa is fully staffed with (2) housekeepers, gardener, pool man and night time security, all of these services are also included in the rental price As for the cooking, should you choose to stay close to the villa on some nights (or all) we do have a cook that is available at the villa. Stephanie is our cook and makes amazing meals. She works with guests to set a menu based on their preferences and can make traditional St Lucian meals or American / European meals with a creole twist. Her meals are one of the things we miss most when we're not on the island. Stephanie's meal preparation fee is $15USD for breakfast and $30 USD for lunch or dinner, plus the cost of any ingredients which again can be arranged for the staff to purchase on their way up to the villa each day. It should be noted that the meal prep fee is based per meal and not per person.
The Premises are equipped with exterior security cameras. Cameras are installed for the purposes of additional security during times the property is not occupied by guests. All cameras are located on the outside of the villa and directed at entry access points to the property (wall, front gate, side gate, pathway). No cameras are located in common areas (decks, pool) or inside the villa itself or have any view inside the villa or common areas. Cameras are not monitored during guest occupancy and recordings are only viewed for staff timekeeping verification, weather events, or reported incidents.
