Authentic rural cottage that can accommodate up to 8 people. You have two maisonettes for 4 people that open directly onto a large patio with a swimming pool just for you (the accommodation is not shared with other tenants). This century-old Andalusian building has exceptional views of the surrounding valleys and sierras. Ideal for one or two families who want a moment of relaxation, nature walks or getaways in the area.

The space
The accommodation is rustic. It will appeal to people looking for the rural charm of a real Andalusian "cortijo". On the other hand, the amenities are simple and the environment is rough. This cottage is more suitable for countryside lovers than for people looking for a high level of comfort, sophisticated accessories or a smooth environment. That being said, it has crazy charm!

You have two separate and neighboring houses. An ideal configuration for two families, for example.

Each of the two gites has the authentic character of the old Andalusian houses. The walls are so thick that they alone are enough to keep a cool temperature inside when outside it is 35 degrees. The building has a ground floor and a first floor. The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. The staircase is charming, but it is not suitable for the elderly or disabled, with accessibility difficulties.

To preserve the rustic charm of the cortijo, we opted for a sober decor. The walls are white and rough. The floor is "English red". The wooden doors are heavy and dark brown in color.

For each cottage you have a fully equipped kitchen, a shower room, a living area with an open fire and two bedrooms. Each bedroom sleeps two people.

In one of the two maisonettes, the living room includes a dining table for 4 to 6 people, as well as a double sofa around the fireplace. In the other maisonette, the living room is smaller, with just an armchair and a small table.

Outside, you have three removable round tables as well as 8 chairs and 5 deckchairs. A palm leaf pergola offers shade (about 4 x 3 meters) and you have one or two basic individual parasols.

Each kitchen is equipped with new induction hobs and a fridge. Dishes are provided (glasses, cups, plates, pots). You have a microwave oven, but also a comfortable barbecue area in the outdoor patio. Accessories are limited to the essentials, in accordance with our values: coffee maker, lemon squeezer, blender, corkscrew, etc.

The shower is modest and the kitchen space is relatively small. Sufficient to ensure its basic function, but not very spacious. It must be said that, most of the time, we live outside :-)

The place does not have a TV, but a wifi network can be provided free of charge. However, we prefer to warn you that due to the rural location, the quality of the internet connection is not what we would ideally hope to offer. On the other hand, the telephone network (and data) is rather efficient.

Linens and towels are provided. We change them once a week.

A washing machine is available as an option (12 euros will be charged per wash).

The vegetable garden that is beyond the hedge and patio is not part of the rental.

100 meters away, you will find the source of Cévico. The water quality is so famous that the villagers walk 4 kilometers back and forth to refuel. Unseen detail: the water in the vacation rental's pool comes from the source. You swim in pure water!

2 kilometers away you can reach the small village of Ventorros de San Jose. There you will find three local grocery stores, a bakery, a butcher, a pharmacy, a medical consultation center, and of course, several restaurant bars where you will fall in love with the generous tapas that accompany each drink you order.

At 17 kilometers you can reach Loja, a small town full of restaurants, shops and services of all kinds.

Foodies will love the gourmet restaurant Le Piola, located in Algarinejo, about 20 kilometers away. Chef Diego will welcome you for a simple drink or an 8 to 12-course menu and fine wines, served in the heart of the village, at prices out of competition.

Lovers of walking will delight, on the other hand, with large wilderness within walking distance: olive groves, cliffs, lake,etc. The Era is located in the middle of hundreds of kilometers of trails to hike. You will enjoy breathtaking scenery and you can also swim in waterfalls, lakes and springs at the turn of a hike. Nature lovers, we will be happy to inform you or organize getaways for you in the area.
