Enjoy small town charm in a cozy, newly remodeled apartment that sits over top of a farm to table cafe. We've given thoughts to all the comforts of home, from the freshly roasted coffee (ask to see our roaster), to the fresh plants (take some cuttings home!) and comfortable outdoor cafe patio upstairs. Come downstairs for fresh baked cinnamon rolls or coffee or create yourself a dish in the fully equipped kitchen.
The space
Newly renovated and very comfortable. This small space is perfect for the couple that wants a place to relax and. unplug. Cell service here is a bit spotty, but you will have Wifi, so you can access that, as well as Netflix. Large screen TV, books, games and puzzles. Everything you need to stay at home.
The cafe downstairs provides food options Thursday-Sunday 7-2, with dinner on Friday nights 5-7, so you don't even need to leave town! There is also a small refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, coffee maker and airfryer/toaster with all the dining and cooking items you might need. My favorite spot is the patio outside that overlooks the roads, houses and park. It's a great spot to enjoy the "local flavor," or just relax. Note, this Airbnb sits on a corner street above a cafe, so there is local through traffic, as well as light cafe noise. There is a set of stairs leading up to the cafe, so note that you will need to traverse these.
Guest access
You will be able to access all rooms of the Airbnb, as well as the patio. You are also welcome to enjoy the front porch of the cafe. The cafe is open Thursday - Sunday 7-2 with dinner Friday nights 5-6
Other things to note
Only three guests are allowed. This is a small space built for no more than three guests. No additional guests allowed under any circumstance.

Neighborhood highlights
This cozy apartment sits atop The Kentucky Millstone Cafe. We are open 7-2 Thursday thru Sunday, with dinner on Friday nights 5-7. There is a small park right across the street and it is enjoyable to sit on the patio outside the apartment and listen to the trucks going by, the children laughing and playing and just soaking in the sun. There is a small market within walking distance and the Licking River is within sight and the Thaxton's Canoe is a short drive, as is Kincaid Lake State Park. There is a small town feel, but you are close enough to drive to enjoy the Creation Museum, Ark, and lots of other fun outings.

My work: Culinary Artist
I spend too much time: Cooking
I was lucky enough to travel the world for a year when I graduated from college. I love to travel, to experience new flavor, new sights and make new friends. I spent most of my life as a chef and I find food very important in my travels. My husband and I opened The Kentucky Millstone, a cafe in Butler, Kentucky in January 2021. My husband roasts the coffee, makes the soups and mills the grain. I bake fresh pastries, make chocolates and teach classes (www.kymillstone.com). We love to share our lovely little bakery cafe with our community! Our menu is based on freshly made, healthy, flavorful food! I live by the motto - Create the life you choose.
