Our house is located in the charming seaside village of Mokalo, one of the hidden gems of Croatia. With breathtaking views of the sea, just a 2-minute walk to the water, and surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and majestic mountain backdrops, it's a peaceful retreat like no other.
You’re also just:
- 5 minutes from the lovely town of Orebić, with its cozy cafes, local markets, and beach promenade
- 15 minutes by ferry to Korčula Island, often called “Little Dubrovnik”
- And comfortably away from the crowds of Dubrovnik, yet close enough for a day trip

Neighborhood highlights

The house is in a charming seaside village called Mokalo. It is a 5 minute drive from the sailing merchant village, Orebic.
Mokalo is known for its stunning beach & for its beautiful canopy of pine trees offering exquisite beauty & of course lots of shade on sweltering days.
Mokalo lies directly in the midst of vineyards and olive groves.
It is truly a beautiful little enclave with serene nature.
There are about 30 houses and 3 campsites in Mokalo. All are allowed access to Mokalo's beautiful private beach.
Mokalo unlike many other small villages has a pizza beach bar restaurant & a top notch seafood restaurant directly on the beach. Mokalo also has a Boutique Winery with award winning wines, champagne & olive oil all made by a local family directly from the vineyards & olive groves of our area.
On our small street there are 3 houses. We are the middle house & both of our neighbors are quiet and cheerful! It is truly a fabulous location with just a 2 minute walk to the beach & all its amenities!

I am American born with a Croatian, Polish and German background. When I was a child, I spent summers in Croatia with my grandma on her vineyard. I have always loved this beautiful country. The people are so warm and friendly, the food organic and fresh, and the country and sea pristine. It has always been a dream for me to build a house here and finally several years ago we were able to do just that. We are thrilled to be able to spend more time here and that our son will be able to experience Croatia as a child as I did. We are also very happy to open up our home to travelers. We welcome you to our home and we know that you will fall in love with Croatia as we have!
