Kuruwitu Beach is a sandy beach about one and a half kilometers in length situated north-east of Mombasa. The property is located on second row from the beach, with an access road opposite the home. It takes about 6 minutes walk to the beach.

The property is an ideal place for a beach holiday with clean and serene surroundings, with the sound of the ocean waves and birds chirping, it will be the most relaxing holiday ever.

The space
The property is 4 level with a terrace on the 4th level that can be used to relax and take in the holly views, the ocean waves or even have a sun downer. Your unit is in the second floor of the property. The west side views of the Vipingo ridge hills is an amazing sight.

The front of the home is all glass to give you amazing 360 views of the whole area.

You can easily access the property from the Vipingo Ridge Air strip where flights land daily from Wilson Airport in Nairobi. It is a 15 mins drive from the airstrip to the property.

If driving from Mombasa, it takes about 40 mins to 1 hr drive depending on traffic.

There is a full time care taker who looks after the lush gardens and cleaning chores of the property and will remain on the property at all times.

The beach is a 6 minute walk from the front gate. The pristine white sandy beach is amazing with clear water ( depends on the season) and amazing sea life.
You can eat fresh sea food straight from sea as the fishermen come to shore with the days catch. This is 5 minutes walk to another section of the beach.

Guest access
Guests can access their unit in 2nd floor and the terrace at the top of the house. There may be other guests on the ground floor and 3rd floor. Please respect their privacy.

Other things to note
It would be most suitable if you can come with your basic supplies on your way to the home. Especially if checking in at night. the convenience shops near the home close around 9.00 pm.

please note we don't keep curtains in the windows. the glasses are tinted and offers enough privacy.

the property is in 4 levels, and the rooftop being the terrace which is accessible by all guests. Depending on the level you have booked, there may be guests on the other levels. The terrace is the only shared space in the main building. Every level has it's own area room, bathroom and living areas. accept the 3rd floor where there is a dedicated private bathroom outside the room
the guests in the third floor may have other guests passing through to reach the terrace.

The property is off the main Mombasa- Malindi Highway. Approximately 36 kilometers to Mombasa and 24 kilometers to Kilifi.

Kuruwitu Beach is a sandy beach about one and a half kilometres in length situated north-east of Mombasa.
At the rear of the beach are some private houses, beach hotels and a beach bar with a large garden.
The beach itself has been left to nature and the fine, light sand is mixed with coral pieces, small shells, dried seaweed and branches.
The surrounding area of Kuruwitu Beach is dominated by tropical flower trees, palm-trees and other trees along the area.

Kuruwitu Beach is part of a Marine Sanctuary, a sea and nature conservation area. The beach and the surrounding coastal area are protected and maintained by a local initiative.

The offshore coral reef is in good condition and in the clear water you can discover colorful fishes while snorkeling and diving.
There is also a good chance that you can even spot dolphins and sea turtles here. There is a Whatsapp group that informs residents of hatching of turtles that is expected along the beach.

Also on offer are trips on local fishing boat. During low tides, you can walk along the reef exploring small pools which contains multitude of sea life. ( Wearing of reef shoes is advisable)

Fantastic beach bar with comfortable beach beds
There are no amenities directly at the beach apart from a very basic shower at the Marine Sanctuary base. Loungers, parasols and particularly comfortable beach beds can be found in the garden of the perhaps cosiest and nicest beach bar in Africa. As well as cold drinks, delicious snacks and great food, you will find here plenty of space and a very welcoming, homely atmosphere.
