Kuro is a 140 years old ‘machiya’ architectural heritage hotel in Kanazawa, Ishikawa. Exclusive private stay reserved for up to two groups per night. Make your inner-historian's dream come true by staying in our historic Japanese textile shophouse, carefully restored and refined by local master artisans.

Kanazawa is easily accessible from the major cities in Japan (2.5 hr trip from Tokyo by bullet train), perfect for a weekend trip.

The space
The executive suite occupies the entire second floor of our two story shophouse. This spacious 690-square-foot room features a restored tatami bedroom with two queen-size beds suitable for guests up to 4 persons. In the private lounge facing the main street features designer vintage furnitures by Askel Bender Madsen (bovenkamp). The suite comes with a private bathroom with a bathtub and rain-shower and mini-fridge. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere enriched with timeless handicrafts.

Guest access
Besides a private bedroom, you will have access to a common lounge with fully equipped kitchenette and laundry machine. Sip a cup of coffee in the lounge while enjoying an unprecedented view of cherry blossoms in the spring and gaze at snowflakes fall silently to the stone floor in the winter. Yes, we have a strong wifi connection and power-points, in case you want to use the lounge to get some work done.

We also have a deluxe room tucked away in the corner of the first floor. You can also rent out the entire hotel with your family and friends. Refer to our other listings for more information.
