This beautiful, modern 3 bedroom house is nestled into the forest on 3 acres of private land with a stunning view of the mountains. The stylish open concept space is the perfect base for your adventures in Kluane National Park with lots of room for groups & families. Cook meals for your family in the well appointed kitchen, get cozy in front of the woodstove on a special weekend retreat or set up a remote office in the mountains with fast wifi. There is a large wrap around deck & ample parking.

The space
This impressive 1600 square two story house tucked into the boreal forest has the main living space on the second floor to maximize views of the mountains. You will find all the luxuries and amenities of home in the open concept kitchen, living and dining room with woodstove, large windows and vaulted pine ceilings. The main bedroom (queen) and one of two full bathrooms is on this floor. Enjoy your morning coffee at the outdoor patio table on the large wrap around deck or cook an evening meal on the large propane BBQ while you gaze at the mountains. When you are not looking at the views you can enjoy the local photography and art inspired by the stunning Kluane landscape throughout the home.

The ground floor has the two other bedrooms (queen and 2 stacking twin beds) and another full bathroom. The cozy den looks onto the yard has a brand new 50 inch Roku television. This room can be used as an office or a fourth bedroom with the extra twin beds.

The well equipped kitchen has everything you would need to cook and serve your own gourmet meals. The kitchen has pots, pans, bakeware, wok, dutch oven, fry pans, colander, mixing bowls, cutting boards and a full set of new sharp knives. The small appliances are all brand new and include a toaster, electric kettle, drip coffee maker and small smoothie blender. You will also find all the glassware, tableware, serving bowls, utensils and flatware you will need. Ready to enjoy a morning coffee in the mountains- we have a French press, drip coffee maker and stovetop espresso pot. Locally roasted coffee and a wide selection of teas are provided. Chopsticks- yes. Grater- have it. Tupperware- its there. Vegetable peeler- in the drawer! We paid attention to all the details to make it feel like your kitchen at home.

There is a dining table for all your meals that seats 4 and you can expand to seat 6 if you need. Or pull up a bar stool at the marble kitchen island for drinks and snacks.

The living room is cozy and well appointed and a great place for enjoying time with family and friends in front of the wood stove. Wood is provided. There is a small selection of books, board games and brochures for you to enjoy.

There is a large wrap around deck on the second level with stunning views of the mountains and trees. Enjoy your morning coffee at the outdoor patio table or cook an evening meal on the large propane BBQ.

The main bedroom has a brand new King Koil queen mattress, luxurious cotton sheets and a cozy Canadian made down duvet. The vaulted ceiling, tasteful lighting and windows looking onto the boreal forest makes your surroundings creates a stylish and peaceful space. One wall has 3 large wardrobes with all the storage space you need for your belongings. There is a workspace in this room.

The full bathroom on this floor has a rain shower and all the fluffy towels you will need. Two bathrobes are provided.

The ground floor has the two other bedrooms, another full bathroom and a den (2nd living room).

The den (second living room) with large windows looking onto the yard has a brand new 50 inch Roku television with access to our Netflix account. There is lots of free channels and content or you can sign into any of the streaming services you subscribe to. This room can be used as an office if you move the second bedroom desk into here or a 4th bedroom if you move some of the stacking twin beds from the third bedroom into this room.

The second bedroom has a brand new King Koil queen mattress, luxurious cotton sheets and a cozy Canadian made down duvet. The room is spacious and has a second workspace that you can move into the den if you prefer. One wall has 2 large wardrobes with all the storage space you need for your belongings.

The third bedroom has 2 stacking Ikea twin beds (4 beds total) which can be moved around to suit your needs (see Additional details for info).
The second bathroom has a tub/shower combination and more fluffy towels.

The lower level has an additional entrance and a ground level deck with 4 outdoor patio chairs and hanging hammock chair.

The property is 3 acres of forest. There is plenty of parking on the private driveway with room for up to four vehicles. Your stay is in a peaceful and serene forested neighborhood but is only a 10 minute walk to the Kluane National Park and Reserve Visitor Centre, a 15 minute walk/5 minute drive to all the amenities of Haines Junction and a 8 minute drive to Pine lake beach.

Guest access
You have the house and the property to yourselves. Lots of parking and outdoor space. But please remember we have neighbors!

Other things to note
Beds
The third bedroom has 2 stacking regular height Ikea twin beds which are great for groups who need maximum flexibility. Unstacked they become 4 twin beds that are low to the ground. The top two beds are comfy 8 inch pocket coil twin mattresses; the bottom two mattresses are 4 inch foam twin mattresses best suited for kids but would work for adults too. The beauty of these beds is that you can move them around to suit your groups or family needs.

You can move one or two of the 4 twins into the den (2nd Living Room) or you could move one of the twins into the 2nd bedroom on the ground floor.

Eating and Groceries
Groceries and restaurants in Haines Junction can be limited, particularly in the winter. Plan accordingly.

Cleaning and environmental practices
We encourage our guests to use the recycling and compost systems provided to help reduce their impact on the earth.

We use environmentally friendly unscented detergents on all our linens and laundry

Kluane National Park and Reserve is home to seventeen of the country’s 20 tallest mountains, including Mount Logan, Canada’s highest peak. The park is a place where visitors can explore a world of high mountain peaks and massive valley glaciers, boreal forests, sparkling lakes and northern wildlife. Together with three other protected areas it is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
