Escape to a peaceful A frame retreat on 10 private acres along the Little Klickitat River. This restored chalet offers dark skies, quiet surroundings, river access, a hot tub, fire pit, private trails, and two decks for stargazing and relaxing. With 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a pull out couch, and a mini movie theater with a futon, this secluded stay is designed for families, couples, and friends who want comfort, privacy, and room to slow down. Movie room has a separate entrance in basement.

The space
The Klickitat Chalet A-frame is 25 minutes to Maryhill Winery and 20 min to the world renowned Goldendale Observatory. There are two outdoor decks and plenty of furnished outdoor spaces to enjoy stargazing at this dark sky location. High speed Starlink internet tested throughout the home with speeds approaching 300 to 400 Mbps. The Chalet has one bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed, dresser, window AC unit and private deck. The second floor has two twin beds, a closet, dresser, window AC unit and reading chair. The cabin is very well insulated and stays cool throughout the summer. It is 1,344 square feet. The living room has one queen size bed in a pull out couch. The basement has a futon in the movie room that can also be utilized as a sleeping option. The basement is accessible by an exterior door, you must enter the main door of the house to access the bathroom. There is one bathroom on the main floor that has a sink, toilet and bathtub with shower. There is also an additional outdoor shower that only operates in May-October. The property is fully equipped with everything you need for family game night, stargazing, movie night or just reading a book by the wood stove. The Little Klickitat River is located on the property amongst ten acres so you have private access to a day of wading, catching crawdads and exploring the river bank. The property neighbors other properties that are considered private property and we ask guests to please stay within the 10 acre boundaries of the Klickitat Chalet location. These boundaries are clearly marked on a map and in person. Thank you for respecting these guidelines. The gravel road that goes through the property is an easement to another property on the far end of our property line. Owners can access this road at any time, though it is very rare. We have only seen them enter one time in the past year. There are no structures, residences or dwellings, it is solely to retrieve firewood.

Other things to note
Please note this 10 acres is completely secluded and private. The nearest neighbor is on the other side of the property as you drive in. Please stay within our property lines. Outside of our property belongs to other owners and would like to keep their property private, it is not accessible or allowed trespassing. This includes the road that accesses our property. This road is to be used for car access only not walking. We have added walking trails on our property for you to enjoy:) Thank you:)

Please note: as stated in listing there are 2 twin beds, 1 queen bed, 1 pull out couch and 1 futon. If you would like to place tents on the property for additional guests please let us know and we will adjust the cost accordingly. $40/person/per night.
