Extremely spacious "Viceroy" style cottage, with super high ceilings located in Little Britain, facing Lake Scugog and is only 1.15hr drive from Toronto. The large backyard is perfect for any outdoor activities such as :

In the morning, grab a cup of coffee and look out the large windows or sit on our large deck and get mesmerized by a sunrise (We gave it this name for a reason). The area is a residential area. Please respect our neighbours by having NO LOUD NOISE outdoors after 10pm!!

> Also a Sandbar - Inside Starr Bay Near the end of Ball Pt - one of the nicest spots on the lake to kayak to (approx 7mins paddle).
> 2 snow hills for snowboarding/skiing/snowtubing (Dagmar, Lakeridge resort)
> Lake is frozen in the Winter, great for skating
> Seasonal Blueberry picking
> Golfing
> Boat launch right in our backyard

> Port Perry / Lindsay (for all your essential shopping - LCBO, Groceries, local restaurants, hardware, etc.)


Lake Scugog can be a very weedy lake, especially in the summer season - Great for fishing off the dock. However, it is NOT a swimmable lake!

The entire lake spans between two different municipalities (Durham Region and the City of Kawartha Lakes) but our Cottage is located on the City of Kawartha Lakes side. For current news/updates regarding the beach/water quality around our cottage, please be sure to check with the City of Kawartha Lakes (website).

Other things to note
Please be aware that we have weekly maintenance services scheduled for the cottage for the following:

>> Lawn Cutting (He'll usually come during weekday mornings and commence with the front lawn and work his way to the back)
>> Hot Tub Maintenance (He'll usually come on a weekday during late afternoons/evenings but will introduce himself before he gets started).
After servicing, it will take approximately 4-5 hours for chemicals to balance before it can be used again.

There will be one person coming for each service above (once a week) but we can't confirm a specific day because it is dependent on the weather. We will do our best to inform you.

Please don't be surprised to see someone on site.


IMPORTANT: Please be mindful of the NOISE CURFEW. Our street is a residential street and our neighbours are very strict on noise. They will call the cops if there is excessive noise heard.

The house backs into Lake Scugog which is a shallow lake with dark waters - a perfect home for crappies, large mouth bass, and the elusive walleye. It is a weedy lake so fishing off the dock is dependent on season. It is NOT swimmable by the shoreline. Many have paddle'd out into the middle of the lake to swim. OR you can rent a boat from a local marina to explore the lake as a whole! =)
