Located in Turtle Mountain Provincial Park, our off-grid huts are a great base for adventurers of all ages and abilities year-round.
Our huts pack a lot into their small 160 square foot footprint. They feature a modern design, with a wood burning stove, cooking area, eating and sleeping space and storage racks for your gear.
Outside the huts there is a deck space, outdoor cooking area, and gear storage for your skis or bikes. Each hut also has it's own outhouse, picnic table and fire pit.
The space
Our huts are unique in their design and location, but don’t expect ‘glamping’ amenities, think minimalist and simple with front door access to the amazing TMPP trails and activities.
Being immersed in the woods of Turtle Mountain Provincial Park is an amazing experience. The vast all-season trail network is located steps away from your door, a great spot to spend time on cross-country skis, fat biking or hiking. Numerous lakes ideal for canoeing and fishing are also located within the Park.
Guest access
Parking is available at the Adam Lake main trailhead parking lot (Winter Recreation Area) and there are a few outlets to plug-in for those cold winter nights. Guests will need to have a Manitoba Parks Permit for their vehicle, these can be purchased online ahead of time.
In winter the parking lot may take a day or two to be plowed after a storm, AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended during this time.
Jay Hut is located a 2-5 minute walk down the main trail.
Other things to note
Starting a fire in the wood stove requires a few simple tricks to make it a lot easier, these are located in the Hut Guide inside the hut, please read beforehand.
Also note that there is no WIFI and no phone service (service can sometimes be obtained via roaming to US providers, turn your phone on airplane mode to avoid charges). A pay phone is located at the Adam Lake Campground Office if needed.
