Welcome to Jack's Shack! Our lakefront home in Eagle Rock, Missouri on beautiful Table Rock Lake. Guests are only steps away from the lakeshore and a swim dock for swimming, fishing, kayaking for free if you wish to use it! (No mooring of boats allowed, no exceptions). The 'shack', named after our mascot, Jack A. Lope, is decorated in vintage decor. Amenities include wifi, satellite TV, board games, DVD movies and even a record player with a huge selection of oldies!
The space
Our space is peaceful and quiet due to where we are on the lake. This area of Table Rock isn't as busy as other parts of the lake. We live in the country, as you will notice by the cattle guards that you will have to cross in order to get to us! The vintage decor along with the disco ball, record player, old albums and books to enjoy set among a backdrop of bright colors, are part of what we feel makes the space unique. Our goal is to share our love of the lake and nature with others in a fun way!
Guest access
There is a guest path to the dock where the kayaks are located on the swim dock. PER LAW THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS DOES NOT ALLOW ANYONE EXCEPT THE DOCK OWNER TO USE THE BOAT SLIP FOR BOAT PARKING INSIDE THE SLIP. So please DO NOT ask. Swimming, fishing, kayaking and sunbathing are definitely encouraged here though. We supply a limited number of sizes of life jackets so if you can, bring your own. There are 2 marinas very close with nightly slip rentals. Feel free to bring your own fishing gear, rafts, tubes and life jackets. There is an electric air pump in the closet to air up your water toys. Before using the swim dock or kayaks, etc. A list of rules will be in the welcome book for you to read.

Also any date changes requested outside of 60 days of the check-in date can be changed for a change fee of 20% of the nightly rate paid. NO date changes within 60 days of the check-in date will be accepted for ANY REASON. Adding available extra days before or after your reservation can be added for no change fee if the dates are available. For these reasons we HIGHLY suggest you purchase Airbnb’s Travel Insurance if you think you might have to cancel or change dates for ANY REASON, bad weather, family emergency, sickness, injury or ANY other reason. You also must understand we cannot and do not guarantee use of the shoreline or lake access due to the US Army Corps of engineers lake water level management or flooding. We have 2 dogs, Daisy the Goldendoodle and Taco the frisbee loving Border Collie. They have their own fenced yard and are very friendly.

Debbie and I own Vintage Vacas and love our life on the shores of Table Rock Lake. The sunrises are amazing and the water is crystal clear. We also enjoy travel ourselves. The first thing you will notice about each of our lake properties is they are anything but your normal rental. Each one has its own unique personality.
