Nestled in a grove of Norway spruce, your peaceful cabin getaway rests in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Built by a local carpenter (with help from his dog Indiana), the cabin has enough coziness and charm to make any stay special. Hike down to Mill Creek (on the property), roast some marshmallows over the fire, or lounge in a hot tub beneath the stars. The cabin is 15 minutes to Ithaca / Cornell, has a living room with a Switch + BluRay + Netflix, and has satellite wifi (100+ MBPS).
The space
The cabin is based on the RavenHouse design featured in Cabin Porn. It is set back 200 feet from the road, so you will have complete privacy. The bedroom (w/ queen bed) is lofted and has a magnificent window that even offers a glimpse of Mill Creek (which can be heard whooshing on rainy days). Accessing the lofts requires climbing a ladder. There is a screened in porch with dining for those warm summer months, and a bathroom shower with views of Ithaca's beautiful rolling hills.
Guest access
You will have full access to 20 acres of Finger Lakes forest. Mill Creek runs through the property and can be reached via a short (though muddy!) hike. There is a front and back yard - perfect to let the doggo run wild, or play a game of bocce.
Other things to note
Accessing the bedroom loft requires a ladder. There is a small rock wall leading up to the reading nook. While incredibly fun, for safety, only experienced climbers should make the climb. A ladder is provided for anyone else looking to use the reading nook.
