There is no shortage of pubs, cafés and restaurants along the way and farmhouse ice creams also provide the necessary refreshment. On the other side, you are about the same distance from Mount Kemmel, a trip on the "téléferique" from the Red to the Black mountain.... The town of Poperinge with its hop festivals, the hop museum andTalbot House, where English soldiers could take a break away from the battlefield during WWI. The International Art Event in Watou, the war history in Ypres, with Flanders Fields and the Last Post under the Menin Gate, the funeral corridor and the Ijzertoren in butter city Diksmuide, the dreamy town of Lo, where once Caesar tied the horse to an ancient tree, Jules Destrooper's biscuit museum....all this within a radius of 20km.
